Osama Bin Laden Dead

Wow. Obama announcing momentarily.

[UPDATE:] Here’s the clearest account of the ground operation I’ve seen so far.

[UPDATE:] ABC’s account has more information on the time/date of the assault, which seems to have happened Sunday, a few hours before the announcement.

From Now On, “To Trump” Will Be Known As “To Myers”—syn. “To Barack”

Trumplepus
Birtherback Rider and Republican albatross Donald Trump sure knows how to latch onto a popular meme and make it his, doesn’t he? President Obama does a great takeoff on the wonderful movie “The King’s Speech,” and the Donald lifts it for his eagerly awaited comeback to Seth Myers’ exquisite filleting:

“I thought Seth Meyers—his delivery frankly was not good. He’s a stutterer.”

There you go. More of that reknowned Trump grace on display. Even the cuttlefish on his head was appalled.

Dumbest violation of Godwin’s Law ever

Michele Bachmann, ladies and germs:

In a speech to New Hampshire Republicans, Bachmann recounted learning about a horrific time in history as a child — the Holocaust — and wondering if her mother did anything to stop it. She said she was shocked to hear that many Americans weren’t aware that millions of Jews had died until after World War II ended.

Bachmann said the next generation will ask similar questions about what their elders did to prevent them from facing a huge tax burden.

“I tell you this story because I think in our day and time, there is no analogy to that horrific action,” she said, referring to the Holocaust. “But only to say, we are seeing eclipsed in front of our eyes a similar death and a similar taking away. It is this disenfranchisement that I think we have to answer to.”

Because paying taxes is actually very similar to being rounded up, starved, gassed and incinerated. This goes beyond deficit hysteria. Deficit psychosis maybe?

As usual, the deficit psychotics—including Bachmann—would be a lot more credible if they’d uttered a peep when Bush was turning the Clinton surplus into a millstone to hand off to his successor. Just when I think they can’t get any more crazy and hypocritical, they do.
