You’re a bastard. That is all.
Currently, I’m de-stressing. I may or may not head downtown for the fireworks. Does Wayne Newton still do the “Capitol 4th” gig?
Also, I’m waiting by the phone for our mutual friend to answer my question.
That’s the Blingee to end all Blingees. And yet, her real flag pin was Blingee-er.
Actually, I’ve seen her wearing a double flag pin, because more is more! And don’t forget, five colleges, because only quitters go to one!
Mr. Polly and I are wondering if there’s any clever little unused nook we can find to watch the fireworks from, instead of hauling lawn chairs to 12th Avenue. I suppose we’ll just wander out onto the porch, say, “Oh, we can’t see it from here, then. Okay.” and go back inside for more chips, the way we did last year.
I hope your anniversary was as terrific as your having put up a 4 A.M. post would indicate, Kevin!
Alt, perhaps B.F. relates to the Angry Inch?
Drinking and writing. July 4th is no different from any other day, except for the number of drunken fireworks-watchers I will have to tase-down in my front yard later tonight.
Oh, and Kudos to the ‘Cuda! It takes real nerve and conviction for a Republican to remove the feeding tube from anything—even a flatlined political career that only appeared to be following the balloon with its eyes.
We were going to check out the fireworks, but they decided to shoot them off on the Hudson instead of the East River this year, thus depriving us Brooklynites of a view unless we trek into the Manhattan. We may still do it, but we’re probably just going to BBQ w/ friends and be done with it.
I hope your anniversary was as terrific as your having put up a 4 A.M. post would indicate, Kevin!
Actually, we didn’t party that hard but we had a great time. We just hadn’t put in the AC yet and I woke up smoldering from the humidity and couldn’t fall back asleep. The AC was accomplished today, though. Pheew.
If I had epilepsy, I’d be suing your ass for that, is all I’m saying. But where’s Trig? Shouldn’t he be on the Old Glory Cross?
Hooray, got access to a computer for a bit. We’re hanging out in Salida, CO visiting friends and getting ready to go to the old fashioned 4th celebration here featuring a parade, a cowboy band, bbg and beer followed by fireworks!
Belated happy anniversary Kevin and Chris! Wish you guys many, many more.
P.S. Still stunned by Palin news. Back later on Sunday.
I spent most of the day playing with my new toy
http://www.newsteamcleaners.com/p10.htm
which I picked up for $25.00 at the local thrift store that I visit twice a week (because I have to be in that area for work purposes). It came in the box with the original HSN invoice still in the box $253 (including shipping) back in 2001. It looks like the original owner maybe used it once and that was it. I LOVE THIS THING, it will clean anything! It did a number on the grunge on the BBQ grill, made the grout in my ceramic tiles in the kitchen look like it was installed yesterday, and cleaned the inside of the oven door from its build up without a problem, and the best part is it does it without chemicals and leaves everything sterilized. This is the best find I have ever had in all my years mooching in thrift stores. It is more fun than the power washer! (I know, I know I am absolutely pathetic).
Needs more starbursts.
That blingee is a thing of beauty. If America could give us a wink, it would look like that. ;-)
I only wish that the Sarah was on an inflate and deflate loop (with sound effects).
