Another “WTF?” Moment from Sarah Palin: Redneck Woman

image
Sarah Palin yesterday in Asheville, NC: “Heil Hickster”

They just can’t get anything right:

Palin, speaking just nine days before the Nov. 4 election, set a folksy tone from the beginning. Country music star Gretchen Wilson had fired up the crowd with a set before Palin arrived, but Palin invited her to sing one more song, her hit “Redneck Woman.”

“We got any rednecks in here tonight?” Wilson asked, drawing thunderous applause.

As Wilson sang, Palin, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and white shirt, danced a little on stage, slapping her hip in cue with the song’s lyrics. Palin also had the crowd sing “Happy Birthday” to her mother while she held a cell phone in the air.

Okay, I’m looking for video of Sarah Palin “slapping her hip in cue with the song’s lyrics” and let’s all get a giggle about her burrowing even further down into the base by having her opening act sing “Redneck Woman” (music video here—it’s saucy!), but check out some of the lyrics to the song:

Victoria’s Secret
Well their stuff’s real nice
Oh but I can buy the same damn thing on a Wal*Mart shelf half price
And still look sexy
Just as sexy
As those models on TV
No I don’t need no designer tag to make my man want me

You just can’t make this shit up. I’m really gonna miss this numbskull when she’s gone.

UPDATE: Okay, found the video. Yes, Palin really sends it back to Wilson on another stage to sing “Redneck Woman” after briefly addressing the crowd (”...you all deserve much more than just a political talk…”). And she has no rhythm and sucks at clapping, too.  You can forward to about the 5:00 mark if you want to bypass her intro.

“We got any rednecks in here tonight?!”

Caribou Barbie hasn’t gone rogue.  She’s gone completely fucktarded.

Screw the numbskull. I am going to enjoy the demise of this fetishization of “redneck/working class/country” values embodied and represented by racist retards like Gretchen Wilson, Toby Keith, failed singer Darryl Worley, Ted Nugent and the likes. All this patronization of th working class is done so that they can sell more albums while dividing the nation and ensuring that dumbfucks playing the role of country bumpkins take helm of Presidency.

Can’t wait for the Playboy pictorial.

Someone from the McCain campaign said on a yapping head program this week that Obama’s internal polls showed PA much closer than the public pollsters—just a couple of points instead of a large lead. I don’t know whether or not that’s true.

However, from the way they’re acting, I’m starting to think the GOP private polls are showing an Obama landslide. I’m certainly not counting chickens—been burned too many times for that. But all the back-biting and jockeying for position indicates to me that they don’t think it’s as close as the public polls might lead us to believe.

Palin’s redneck relaunch may be a part of that. She’s trying to position herself with the anti-intellectual, snake-handler demo. I also read somewhere that it’s Romney’s former advisors (now with McCain) who are leaking the “Palin has gone rogue, wandered off the reservation, is a diva” memes. If true, that’s fucking hilarious.

If Obama pulls this thing off—and especially if it’s not even close—I am so going to enjoy the GOP bloodbath to follow. I’ll be lurking alternately on wingnut and PUMA sites, just laughing my ass off.

You know what the best part will be?....watching Republicans laying claim to authenticity ....they will start defining what it means to be a real redneck and how Toby Keith is a real and better redneck because he chews tobacco while singing, and that Gretchen is a faux Barbie version…thats how they will start devouring each other…that Ken Adelman and Paul Wolfie cannot be “real” Republicans because they dont worship Christ, and the same applies to Mittens because he belongs to a cult. Watch them take part in this gorefest. it will be fun. But Im going to hold back my gloating until the day the gloating really matters and that is Nov 4th. BO may be leading now but it wont matter until the day comes when it matters.

What worries me is the slew of Republicans endorsing Obama, like war mongering Adelman and Hitchens. These guys are doing it to further their careers, to remain in business and not to be outcasts. I worry that Democratic leadership, pansies embedded in their genes, will rush to embrace people like Adelman and Lieberman and KLo..and forgetting that these are the very people who have helped destroy America

I think someone I was talking to on the phone (ts?) told me that those poll numbers (bogus) were intentionally leaked to lure McCain into going all in in Pennsylvania. If true, that is pure genius.

Yeah, just read that.  Too funny.  The Palin vs. Romney cage match.

I happen to live within 45 minutes of Asheville, NC and know the people of this area very well / both Republican and Democrat.  There are good people on both sides of the fence, but I fear that the current hysteria affecting the Republican party is spreading and carrying even some of the good people along on the tide of fear and ignorance.  Watching the Palin video from the Civic Center wasn’t even funny to me, it was sad to think that the person hellbent on being Vice President would stoop to such insulting behavior.  A big Hell Yeah from all the redneck girls - my god, what is next from the woman who would be king?

Fuck, fuck, fuckity….I will not sleep well tonight.
