Gimme, I just sent an email to the Simon Wiesthenthal Center expressing my outrage at this appropriation of Holocaust imagery for partisan political ends and the general “Nazification” of US political discourse.  I’d like to hear from Jewish leaders on this.

Andrea Mitchell asked Cantor if he’s comfortable with some of the signs that were so disturbing they wouldn’t show them on-air. He said he was fine with them.

Bachmann was just on Hannity’s radio show. She’s calling for “reinforcements” to come to DC and wander through the halls of Congress tomorrow and during Saturday’s voting session.

I almost can’t wait for the next Republic Congress, now that I know we’re allowed to terrify representatives right in their offices. This is a terrific new form of government I’m sure the Founders wish they’d thought of.

I got a nice response from the Wiesenthal Center.  Our exchange:

Me: 

A photo is being circulated from today’s anti-government protests in Washington DC featuring a protest sign that uses a photo of corpses from Dachau. The continuing “Nazification” of US political discourse and the reprehensible appropriation of the Holocaust for partisan ends must be vigorously condemned. Thank you for looking into this.

Aaron Breitbart, senior researcher, Simon Wiesenthal Center responded: 

We agree completely. If an issue is serious enough to be debated, it should be done so on its own merits. The cheapening of the Holocaust by invoking it on issues, as important as they may be in their own right, such [as] abortion, animal rights, health care legislation, etc., is wrong and demonstrates a weakness in the moral and ethical thinking of the violator.

I didn’t press for public comment, etc., but I also mentioned this on DKos, where some others indicated they also reached out to the Center, the ADL and some other organizations for comment.

I’ll defer to their judgment about whether and how to respond as organizations.

Cantor sits on the board of the Virginia Holocaust museum.  I’m working on a message to send them,attaching the photo & sending the link.

Obammy is NOT trying to get health care for everyone, that doesn’t fit his agenda. The purpose of all this “health care” is to reduce the population of the US by free, maybe mandatory abortions and limiting treatment for seniors so they die faster. This leaves only healthy childless working people to generate taxes for him to steal for his friends while limiting costs for medical care, retirements and welfare. It’s simple once you see the big picture.

Brad, that comment makes me want to get knocked up and then have an abortion just to spite assholes like that.
