Are you fucking kidding me?

No, you’re not.

Brought to you by Starbucks.

p.s. Am I the only person who’s totally burning out on the vitriol and manufactured outrage? I knew there would be a lot of insanity and martyrdom coming from the anti-Obama cretins (take your pick) after he won, but I didn’t expect it to be this relentless or downright insane.

Two things:

1)  I don’t visit Starbucks all that often, but now I’m making sure that I never step foot in one.  Ever.  Again.

2)  The way that cons try to deflect everything at their political opponents is becoming laughable.  It is approaching parody at this point.

Thanks, Pumalicious!

Now be sure and tell Starbucks why.

I don’t doubt that a douchebag like Scarborough gets piles of hate mail. Some of it may even come from scary left-wing loonies (though I’ll wager the bulk comes from reasonable people who are just noting Scarborough’s latest episode of douchebaggery).

But the allegation that Krugman goads sickos into threatening people strikes me as utterly preposterous. Krugman? Jesus Christ. I think Scarborough is a liar.

Thanks Allan, I already let them know and I would encourage everyone else to do the same.

Honk if you think Scarborough is a fuckwit!  Oh whoops, Joe would think that’s hate speech.  I guess I’m just an extremist!

They are scared shitless, they’ve been exposed for who they are. Being complete tools, they can’t even be smart in their denials,it’s all screamy and blamey, pretty much like a 4 yr old who blames the dog for eating all the cookies in the cookie jar while you can see the chocolate all over their face and hands.

The vast majority of people know who’s stirring the shit pot and who isn’t.

Did Joe actually read Krugman’s column today? I did. And Krugman’s right. While I often find Joe entertaining, he’s just WRONG on this (and many other things). Dead wrong. And I wish to heck someone on that show would call him on it (though didn’t see this morning’s rant).

He’s such a whiny, petulant baby when she does call him on his shit. She rarely bothers anymore. How long did he drag out his martyrdom when Mika’s dad kicked him to the curb? I think it went on all week.

KK, you mentioned yesterday that you don’t listen to wingnut radio, which explains your sense of surprise.

I have Beck, Rush, Hannity and Savage on in the background all day, as well as our local B-market ranter, Jim Quinn, who amuses himself by shouting “Communism!” and calling Barney Frank a “homo.” There’s also Billy Cunningham on Sunday nights, if you take your crazy with the Special Sauce.

Losing the election was hard enough. Losing it to Barack Obama was an insult at the molecular level of primordial political DNA sequencing. Then came the DHS report on potential sources of domestic terror, which was the equivalent of a direct photon-torpedo hit on the Far Right’s God-fearing-Constitution-loving-just-regular-Ammurricans media-fueled Cloaking Device of Mainstream Credibility.

Then, just as the rivets were starting to pop, a couple of incontestably-Liberal-hating wingnut freaks went out a-huntin’ them some Liberals.

Oh, and somewhere in the middle of this, Michael Savage was banned in Britain as a dangerous hate-monger, and placed on a no-fly list along with several actual, known, name-brand terrorists.

Rush is trying to hold his fudge, but everywhere else you can just sense how wigged-out these people are that the mask of respectability has been shear away, and suddenly America has become, for them, the last 20 minutes of They Live!

They feel exposed and vulnerable, and they’ve responded by amping up the siege-mentality rhetoric of the “death of capitalism” and “the intentional destruction of everything America stands for” and, of course, “Patriots and ‘real Americans’ are being targeted for extermination.”

And, come on, you know they’re desperate when they have to argue that Von Brunn wasn’t a real conservative, because no real conservative would gun down a man in a uniform, at least not one-handed, which is a violation of the “two-hand stance” rule for free-range shooting.

Expect more drunken late-night phone calls…and turn your radio down.

I’m sure Mr. Scarborough Faire will provide copies of the hate mail.

Any minute now…

The only thing that surprised me is it didn’t start at the level of crazy we’re currently witnessing and increase as soon as he was nominated. I think between November and January they were hoping it wouldn’t happen. After he was sworn in they were in shock for a while. But one day reality hit and they realized a) They could no longer live vicariously through the party in power and b) ZOMG, there’s a NEEEGRO in the White House.

As our delightful host points out,

I knew there would be a lot of insanity and martyrdom coming from the anti-Obama cretins (take your pick) after he won, but I didn’t expect it to be this relentless or downright insane

.

I think we all knew that.  I truly don’t believe it would be so insistently every hour on the hour as we’ve seen.  We can only hope they burn themselves out, but then again, 2010 Congressional races are gearing up and that usually means an UPTICK in attacks on the party in power.  Follow that by 2012 on it’s heels and I’m ready to start exploring yet again my desire to move to Ireland.

Her dad didn’t seem too worried:

This is one of the funniest things about the right. They’re so dedicated to doing exactly the opposite of Democrats and liberals all the time, that when they pick out someone for a dartboard, they immediately assume that person is treated as a patron saint on the left (see also: Cindy Sheehan, Nancy Pelosi).
