Awkward Segue of the Day: Carly Fiorina

Just a few minutes ago on This Week Carly Fiorina, John McCain’s “Chair of Victory” (I guess he sits on her when he gets tired), said:

“And you have a column by Tom Friedman, who I generally love, who is reverting back to the old argument that conservatives are stupid.

Look, Sarah ... Palin ... has ... transformed ... this ... race.”

BTW, I just found out that Carly Fiorina’s maiden name is Sneed.  Henceforth, Fiorina must be referred to as “The Sneed” at Rumproast.  Please make a note of it.

All I can say is , if the dunce cap fits , wear it. While not all conservatives are drooling half-wits , the base that McPOW and the GOP are pandering to are completely stuck on stupid.

Yeah, that was actually an awesome piece by Friedman, credit where it’s due. No false balance. He called the Republicans out on their strategy of distraction and focuses it back on the real fundamentals of this race—the public wants to see real solutions to real problems. Palinpalooza is a temporary fever. It’s been, what, just over two weeks?

I really don’t see it paying off for them. Like McCain’s other gambits, it’s a high-risk move. For it to work, they’ve got to hope that 1. They can continue to cloister both McCain AND Palin from tough questions. 2. The broadcast media doesn’t get pissed off and start making his lies the story, and 3. the shine comes off the Great Palin.

It’s just not gonna happen. There’s sure to be at least one press conference, and you know all the networks are saying FUCK IT! WE’RE DOIN’ IT LIVE!!11!

Just curious - do they ever introduce The Sneed with her tenure at HP, or is she just ‘a McCain campaign adviser for ultimate Victory and the glory of the Motherland’ now?

No shit. A former classmate of mine, a man who has started and sold two businesses called me during the conventios and we got to talking about his success.

He spent almost 5 years working in Silicon Valley before heading South to strike out on his own and when I brought up The Sneed, he not only sneered, he guffawed.

He knew her back when and was aghast that she had been tabbed as one of McCain’s spokeswomen. He had worked with her, met her on dozens of occasions and liked her, but he couldn’t believe she had been given the top spot.

She was a fucking disaster as head of HP. He told me “HB, even you could have done what she did.” I laughed, heartily.

BTW, if you haven’t seen the best impersonation ever touched off by the hand of woman, you must see Tina Fay doing Palin. You can’t be this good, it’s not human.
