Bill Platt’s absolute crap

Yesterday Lehigh Valley (PA) GOP chair Bill Platt got in hot water for acting like a dick and today he unveiled his weak excuse for his abysmal behavior in The Morning Call:

Platt said in an interview with The Morning Call that he meant nothing malicious by using Obama’s middle name and said his goal was to talk up McCain’s patriotism.

‘’It wasn’t delivered with any kind of malice,’’ Platt said. ‘’It wasn’t calculated. I meant absolutely nothing by it.’’

Platt pointed out he also had referred to the Democratic candidate as ‘’Sen. Obama’’ or ‘’Mr. Obama’’ at the Bethlehem event.

‘’I could understand if it was taken out of context how someone would get angry,’’ Platt said. ‘’[But] if Barack Obama was not the nominee and it was Hillary Clinton, I would have referred to her as Hillary Rodham Clinton.’’

What a load of absolute crap. I’m still looking for a full video or transcript of his speech, but I’ll guarantee you the candidates on the Republican ticket weren’t referred to as John Sidney McCain or Sarah Louise Heath Palin in it.

Um...Hillary’s middle name isn’t Rodham, that’s her maiden name so more proof that he’s full of shit.  He would’ve said Hillary Diane Clinton.

My dad’s name was Sidney and he used to beat us when we were children, so obviously, in my mind, John SIDNEY McCain is a child beater and now you guys know that he’s a child beater in your eyes too. **rolleyes**

I am Bill Platt, and I disapprove of this message…

I’m a long time conservative* and Bill Platt’s comments are nothing more than the prattling of a party hack with the smell of defeat in his nostrils.  Platt is pure asshole… by his silence on the podium, McCain is one, too.

* I avoided the tag “Republican” because I don’t want to be associated with a group of pseudo-christian** politicians who long ago sold conservatism down the river.

** Deliberately not capitalized because they run their mouths but don’t walk the walk.
