What the heck, we can all share the sofa.

Betty, our largish dog has “her"spot on one of our sofas, too. But when the whole family is home, she is relegated to the hardwood floor, which she heartily dislikes.

One evening when we were watching a movie and there were no seats available to her, she walked to the front door and quietly woofed to go out. I told my youngest son to get up and please let her out. As soon as he got to the door, she spun around and jumped up into his seat on the couch. Her doggy facial expression was all, “What?”

Donna, my sister used to have a terrier that would run to the window and bark in order to get her fellow terrier away from his food dish, so she could get seconds. He fell for it every time.

Our furniture is expressly for keeping the dogs off the floor.
