I’m in a rush (going to do some rooftop drinkin’ with ts), but here are the details from Keith Olbermann.

Woo hoo!

So happy for Rachel!!

Yay! So sweet that the date her show starts officially 9-8-08, is her Grandmothers 93 b-day..
Keith was pretty cute with her on Countdown last eve.

Kev,
Heard you and the other folks web chatting on sunday, I didn’t hear it live but listened to the whole thing later. Was fun to hear you voices and all the PUMA stuff. You guys had fun, which made it a fun listen (when you all weren’t talking at once! heehee)

MSNBC just got a whole lot smarter. Never thought I’d see the day. From what she and Olbermann said, it sounds like he was instrumental in helping her land the gig. Yay Keith. Did they give Abrams the boot or just shuffle his time slot, I wonder…

Betty,

The article I read said he was still going to be around to do like Andrea Mitchel is doing right now, the pre-primetime host slot on MSNBC, and also that he was their lead legal annalist and would still be around for that slot when needed. Abrams wasn’t my favorite, but he wasn’t so bad. Glad he didn’t get the total boot.
