Cocktail Corner: Sounds awful, but it isn’t!

A friend recently told me about this drink:

—Tequila
—Ice
—Lime wedge
—Squirt citrus soda

I wasn’t too keen to try it, but it’s actually pretty refreshing!

That doesn’t sound so bad.  I don’t think we have squirt around this way - is it like Sprite or 7-Up?

Last year some one had given us a bottle of Norwegian raspberry vodka.  We tossed some of that over ice with pomegranate-raspberry juice and that was yummy.

Squirt is grapefruit flavored.  It’s actually one of the few soft drinks I like and that drink sounds pretty good to me!  Kind of like a tequila salty dog.

I didn’t even think they made Squirt anymore. I would definitely try that drink.

In Mexico, Fresca has sugar in it—it’s not a diet drink. Squirt is basically Mexican Fresca.

I have that same glass, btw.

Kevin, is there a drink you wouldn’t try? ;-)

@ Cleter—you can’t go wrong with Tervis Tumblers. Particularly with a Gator logo.

Well, I guess we know what we’ll be putting away at Roastacon!

I had gin and some budget Canadian version of Squirt at a house party a few months ago, which we called a White Trash Tom Collins. It was really quite good.

Palomas.

That there drink is called a “paloma” south of The Border, where it’s muy popular. (Paloma means “dove/pigeon” in Mexican.)
