CRAP PAC CPAC RAP: The sound of people not getting laid [Updated X3]

As promised, here’s another dip into the fringe cultural life on display at CPAC, in the form of whateverthehellthisis.

Sometime Fox News contributer Steve Crowder and Mr. Dana Loesch cavort and yowl for the delectation of a determinedly seated crowd at the Red Carpet Blogger Awards as they perform their new beat platter “Mr. America.”

Stephen Webster at The Raw Story watched the whole thing, and so is able to report that at one point, after a particularly lame bit of business centered on sham prudery over the word “knickers,” “the video shows what appears to be the only black person in the room standing up and walking away,”  proving he’s the only one there with a sense of dignity, humor, and/or self-preservation, and provides us with a partial transcript:

With all this money afly you gon’ be needin’ a big freeze
I hate the size of the fed like Jesus hated the fig tree
As spending goes up, you gotta borrow some more
Borrowin’ from the chinese, Oh My lord.
Instead you just tax more, increasin’ the size
Of the federal government yeah to George’s surprise
You’ll be done like Detroit man, no You ain’t comin’ back
Forget it, I’m out, I’m muzzle loading my gat

Add this to the charge sheet for the Final Reckoning, along with all past efforts by The Young Cons.

I was a little at a loss which tags to pick for this one. Skull Hampers barely does it justice, and my soul rebeled at applying any of the music tags. Can we have a Nuke It From Space tag please, Admin?

More: Gottalaff dissects the “knickers” “joke”:

VIDEO: Conservative rappers at CPAC appear to use N-word, then claim they were saying “Knickers”

You listen, you decide. I’m beyond outrage where these people are concerned.

Update 2:

G and Comrade Mary in the comments have fleshed all this out. G points out:

The article you linked to also includes a link to their official “music video”... the one that was playing in the background at the event.  The whole “knickers” / “n-word” vaudeville act plays out the same way in their video, complete with the same initially “upset” black guy as their technical man.

Here’s that version of the vid at Big Hollywood.

Bear that in mind as at Big Journalism, shameless liar P.J. Salvatore tries to shame us for deploying a racial dogwhistle!

Earlier today Comedian Steven Crowder and Chris Loesch, a production artist, performed a satirical (by design) number called “Mr. America” at CPAC as a last-minute request to mark the launch of the same name video. The video (and the performance) features Crowder and Loesch dressed as George Washington and Jefferson Adams opining about the loss of American exceptionalism. “We were fighting off Red Coats while we were brewin’ our beer” raps Crowder. At one point in the song the duo say “knickers,” while referencing their old-school pants. A writer at Huffington Post, with an apparently inability to spell, convinced herself that they said a racial slur, based on the sole observation that the audio technician, who happens to be black, which blogger Amanda Terkel was quick to note, walked out of frame to fix the audio levels.

You couldn’t make this up. Well, I couldn’t.

UPDATE 3: Double down time. Add this to the Things That Aren’t Going To Happen file—Now Retracto, the Correction Alpaca over at Big Journalism aims a “Retraction Request” at Gawker:

Progressives are attempting to skewer Steven Crowder and Chris Loesch, claiming that they used the “N” word when saying the word “knickers” in a satirical video about the loss of American exceptionalism.

At no time did the duo use the “N” word, and to prevent hyper-dramatic liberals from whipping out their dog whistles, they even point to their pants when they say “knickers” in the video.

Gawker failed to post the original video where this is clear, instead seizing on an opportunity to defame Crowder and Loesch and attack Loesch’s wife, editor of this site.

Heh. Nice try, no cigar. Hypocritically, Mr. Alpaca failed to link to the Gawker story, which is actually one of the more anodyne versions doing the rounds.

I’m just amazed Republicans can criticize government debt without choking.

Well, any more than they no doubt choke in this vid, but that’s a different sense of “choke.” (No way am I going to watch it!)

So this how low we’ve sunk…

In case you’re wondering why I’m not bothering covering any of the speeches etc. at CPAC, well, it’s just another day in the War Against The Institutional Left Yadayadayada (plus the ACU seriously needs a proofreader, among many, many other things).

Thanks!

I’m starting to get the rap thing down now.

Love ya,

S

It was hard to tell but knicker don’t rhyme with beginner and I hardly think someone would say ‘you’re a knicker’ to the guy walking out.

I’m starting to get the rap thing down now.

Good Lord. Erm, love ya back?

It was hard to tell but knicker don’t rhyme with beginner and I hardly think someone would say ‘you’re a knicker’ to the guy walking out.

Well, Rebecca, judging by the partial transcript above, I think rhyme is another in the long list of concepts these folks don’t grasp.

The sound quality doesn’t exactly help, but as you observe, context is all, and I dont think there’s much doubt what the “joke” was all about. Anyhow, in the time since I posted it, this thing’s gone a wee bit viral.

I’m pretty sure they enunciated “knickers”, because, you see, saying one word and making the implicit association with another word, and then deliberately setting up the record scratch sound in their tape so they could play up the faux naiveté—yeah, that’s what certain assholes consider funny.

And while I think that any black guy working in that room would have quite justifiably walked out by that point, I can’t help but wonder if that was part of the set-up, too. After all, that turd Hoekstra did manage to hire an Asian-American actress to play the leading role in his racist ad.

I hate these guys especially for making me doubt everyone’s ethics now.

Oh, and about those people not getting laid?  They’re getting laid, they just don’t want anybody to find out.

At least it gives me an excuse to post one of my favorite tracks...

Oh, and about those people not getting laid?  They’re getting laid, they just don’t want anybody to find out.

Fair point. I meant during the, er, performance, but right enough, camera angles and all that.

It *WAS* part of the set-up.  So yes, the whole thing, including the token black guy walking out, is all an intentional part of their act.

And yes, I think that makes it even worse… because these assholes think its funny to intentionally play up this whole race-baiting meme.

It should come as no surprise to anyone here that Breitbart’s site was touting them and has the actual “music video”...

Thanks, G and Comrade Mary. That joins a few dots.

It’s pure as the driven slush: “We’re not racist, we’re just having a joke.  At the expense of black people. Because they’re black.  But we *have* a black guy right here! So it’s okay!”

To them, it’s funny because it’s offensive. To me, it’s offensive because it fails as music, comedy, and entertainment—and that’s before I even get down to whether it’s racist. The whole “knicker” thing is about saying “We hate political correctness!”  The opposite of which is, I can only venture, political wrongness.

They’re wrong, all right. Mission accomplished.

I’m not going to follow the link if it’s at Breitbart’s site, but thanks for confirming my absolute despair over humanity, G. I think.

Just for lulz, here’s how P.J. Salvatore at Big Journalism is trying to spin this:

At one point in the song the duo say “knickers,” while referencing their old-school pants. A writer at Huffington Post, with an apparently inability to spell, convinced herself that they said a racial slur, based on the sole observation that the audio technician, who happens to be black, which blogger Amanda Terkel was quick to note, walked out of frame to fix the audio levels.

Thanks for the props and attribution.  I want to also give a shout out to Vixen Strangely, who is spot on with what these shameful race-baiting goons are all about:
