Dear DNC…

...this completely sucks:

Please stop letting your thirteen-year-old nephews write and produce your web ads, especially when the RNC is turning out much more effective and professional-looking videos. Or are you saving money so that you can hand the 2010 elections over to the GOP on the most expensive platter in the world?

Not to mention that defending Rubio against Crist’s comments will be “Awkward!” if Crist ends up bolting to the Dems as Kos and others insist he should…

Allan, exactly. It’s one thing for snarky blogs to snicker at Crist’s comments, but I haven’t a clue as to how the DNC thinks this will help them in FL.

What part of “Let’s you and him fight?” do they not understand? In other words - stay out of it and let the GOP tear each other to bits. Unless the DNC can’t stand the GOP stealing their moves, that is.

FFS! I don’t think there’s any chance Crist will bolt to the Dems. He’s a moderate, but he has burned a lot of bridges with the Dems in FL. Still, that video is pathetic—let them continue to shred each other. And hey, maybe capitalize on the opportunity the GOP clusterfuck presents by getting your own guy out there acting like a goddamn grown-up!

It looks like Kendrick Meek will be the Dem nominee by default (he’s the only one who seems to want it). He’s a good guy, but he has almost no name recognition outside South Florida. I follow local politics pretty closely, and the only time I’d ever heard of him was when he was a state rep and staged a sit-in in Jeb Bush’s office to protest a plan to end affirmative action on the state level.

Now, I happen to think he was right about Bush’s plan. However, what many people don’t realize is that when you get away from Miami and Disney World, Florida is a lot like Alabama. That episode will not go over well statewide.

Unfortunately, from what I’ve seen, his organization is kinda…disorganized. I filled out a volunteer form weeks ago, and no one has contacted me. Not that I’m some great prize, but Jeebus, the Obama people had that shit down cold—they were on my offer like a duck on a june bug.

I’ll just take your word for it that it sucks; I can’t bear to watch. I’m still annoyed about that stupid “John McCain doesn’t know how to use a computer” ad. Which, come to think of it, I paid for part of.

Is there something Eskimos really, really need? Because whatever it is, the DNC couldn’t sell it to them.

I don’t understand the scritchy-scritchy sound when Rubio “speaks.”  It seems like the equivalent of some non-Western pop culture convention in manga or Bollywood films or Hong Kong martial arms movies that’s completely untranslatable ... except that this was made by Americans, wasn’t it?

except that this was made by Americans, wasn’t it?

Maybe the DNC outsourced…
