Dems Playing Game of Chicken on Health Care Reform

The game of chicken commenceth — right now.

In the course of unveiling Obama’s new health reform proposal on a conference call with reporters this morning, White House advisers made it clearer than ever before: If the GOP filibusters health reform, Dems will move forward on their own and pass it via reconciliation.

Oh lord, I just wish I believed anymore that they’d actually do it!  Although House majority whip James Clyburn provided a ray of hope when he stated today that he believes the House has the votes to pass the President’s revised plan.  But, and I don’t know about the rest of y’all, I, for one, sure am tired of waiting for that last shoe to drop.

@marindenver—Check your link, doll! I want to read whatever it is.

Oopsie!  Thanks for the heads up Guy.  Fixed it.

You and me both, marindenver. I haven’t had much to cheer about since right before Lieberman killed the medicare expansion plan.

The thing I worry about is when it’s all said and done, they will pass the dreaded Strongly Worded Letter to insurance companies and call it a win.

The democrats are being slowly forced into accepting the reformed health plan. Obama already won the popularity vote, now to win the house votes. Universal discount nutritional vitamins
