Gyad, what a blithering idiot. My parody Palin cartoon from yesterday was more coherent.
with the proverbial can’t even get a phone call back
What proverb would that be?
What proverb would that be?
I think it’s quite well-known among the Dutch folk of Norway.
Gotta love the look on O’Reilly’s face when she gets going. Even he can’t believe she’s spouting this shit.
How the heck does she knows who the president has talked to? I doubt she can even make an overseas phone call. (Calling the lower 48 doesn’t count, Sarah.)
I hope McCain, and every Palin enabler, rots in Hell for inflicting this dingbat on the rest of us.
I can’t click on it; I’ve already lost enough of my hearing as it is.
And can you imagine the shitstorm that would’ve occurred in the right wing if they found out that Obama really did go around asking a bunch of foreign countries for help?
Media Matters has more of the discussion here. Where is this idea coming from that Alaska is the only state in the U.S. where drilling occurs and therefore the quitter half governor is the only person qualified to speak about the industry? I’d venture to say that the governors of most western states and Gulf Coast states would have some valid input. (I almost ended that sentence with “too” but then realized it implied that any of Palin’s input could be considered as “valid”.)
But the straight answer is that NOBODY knows how to cap the well! That’s the real reason BP had no Plan B - there wasn’t one to be had. That’s what came out at the Congressional hearings yesterday with all the O&G execs. They explained away the lack of a backup plan by saying that a catastrophic accident was too unlikely to happen and therefore why worry about it. Well, maybe they were telling the truth that they would not have drilled the well the way BP did (hahahaha, I know, I kill myself sometimes) but I guess we can all console ourselves that BP did keep the walruses safe.

Ding ding ding!
@Tom65—

Palin makes O’Reilly look reasonable.
At the risk of insulting vuvuzelas, Palin is the vuvuzela of American political discourse.
I’m with String, I just can’t click to watch that much stupid, maybe I just need a hug from Al.

Hey, now!
Hey, now!
I meant in the constant buzzing sense. Not in the delightfully festive 2010 FIFA sense.
I meant in the constant buzzing sense.
Understood. That’s why I meant “Hey, now!” in the Hank Kingsley zinger-acknowledgment sense. ;->
Surreal, I tweeted your comment & the General approved.

He did actually. Maybe the wingnuts don’t know. Or they realize that it wouldn’t be seen as a bad thing so they’re not shitstorming like they would be in a lower stakes situation.

I am not worthy!
Many thanks, though :)
