Of course Hannity is a warmongering thug who hasn’t the faintest idea how foreign policy power functions in the country he is so transparently eager to bomb. Nothing new there. But can we stop pretending Rick Warren is a moderate now? He is also either shockingly ignorant about what the bible actually says or willing to twist its message to appeal to Hannity’s troglodyte core audience. My money’s on the latter.  No respectable politician should ever take this creep seriously again.

Why anyone takes any of these “religious” con men seriously is beyond me. They are all so transparent yet they have huge followings—blows my tiny little mind. The human race really needs some heavy duty therapy.

Either than or a good swift kick in the ass, Donna. Warren tells Hannity the function of government, according to Jesus, is to punish evil-doers. I take it as proof of god’s non-existence that he didn’t smite the two craven bastards into a pair of smoking ash heaps on the spot.

If there actually is a god, he/she has a huge, twisted, sadistic sense of humor. And yeah, a swift kick in the keester is a fab alternative or adjunct to therapy.

Boy, there was such a lovefest agreement between Hannity and Warren I thought they were gonna start making love to each other right there on the spot, with Alan Colmes standing by the bedside holding a glass of water in case Hannity gets thirsty during the shag-a-thon with Warren.

From now on, there should be a new rule: If any Republican or Democrat advocates needless wars on TV and tying that to their love for their country, they should made to hold true to their word by the govt snatching their adult kids out of home and drafting them into the army and sending them to war. With the military being stretched too thin, they could use a few more boots.

Maybe Colmes can blog about it.

respectable politician

That’s funny, Betty.

Exactly how many “respectable” politicians regularly appear (or appear at all) on Fox News?

You know Warren has a new Xmas book out, right?  That bit of “ooh, he’s a famous author!” aside, there’s really no reason that America needs to be subjected to his “ideas”, esp. when it concerns politics.

Hannity is also conspicuous in his uselessness.

You’re great Americans…

Well, J, both McCain and Obama showed up to be grilled by Warren in the so-called “Saddleback Forum.” I say treat the nutball with the relevance he deserves. Which is to say, none.

Forgot about that. Good point, Betty. Though I think McCain’s respectability went out the window with his campaign.

I don’t remember exactly where I saw it now, but somebody called Warren’s office and asked them where, precisely, in the Bible it says that the job of the president is to take out other countries’ leaders if they are evil.  The staffer was going to get back to him.

Marindenver, you’ve heard of different interpretations of the bible, e.g., King James Version, New International Version, etc.? Maybe Warren uses the Chuck Norris Version.

ROFL @ “The Chuck Norris Version.”

Glad I read the comments.  You’re even more spot-on better below the fold than you were in the main post, Betty.  And that’s saying something.

“better” extraneous in my previous comment.  Apologies for wasting electrons.

Maybe Warren uses the Chuck Norris Version.

Love it! /snark

Can anyone explain to me why all it takes for me is to see even a still picture of Sean Hannity’s face and I feel an overwhelming urge to pick up a baseball bat and smash smash smash smash smash his fuckface into a pool of bloody goo with bits of skull sticking out of it?

I would be greatly appreciative if you could explain this phenomenon to me.

@Allan: I can’t help beyond saying, you are not alone.  I also get the same feeling when I see Blowhard O’Reilly’s mug.
