“F” is for Fake, Felon or Fraud

It’s been a pretty interesting day in “getting to know Mitt Romney” news, but I’m going to just momentarily ease up on the guy, because, as you all know, I’m a caring giver. Sure, Bain, the company Romney claimed to have left in 1999 submitted SEC filings that indicated that Mitt was the sole shareholder, CEO, chief cook and dog-walker until 2002. And sure, Romney even testified to running Bain during that period to help establish his residency to run for governor of Massachusetts. So maybe it was wrong of Mitt to claim that he ended his involvement with the company in 1999, most likely to distance himself from the outsourcing and the like (which he profited from).  But really—don’t we all forget things like when we were running companies?  It’s like forgetting your own name or where exactly it is that you live—it can happen.

Sure those kinds of things are more likely to happen when you are an inveterate liar, but just sayin’....

So this is what I was buying when I donated to OFA? Man, talk about return on investment. What a great team they’ve assembled. Ben LaBolt, Stephanie Cutter. Direct, aggressive and relentless. Today felt like a big victory.

Best $$ I’ve spent all year.

So the upshot is that Romney will never release his tax returns because he filed as a Utah resident at the same time he was convincing MA he was eligible to run for governor there so he’s broken a law in one state or the other.

Have I got that right?

How do they say?  It would be irresponsible not to speculate.

Willard has that same smug indifference to such quibbles as I’ve seen so many times in corporatistas.  I know it’s cliche but being Lord of the Manor lends a false confidence that one is above the rules that apply to underlings.  One MAKES the rules, after all . . . Romney reminds me so much of Rich McGinn, the smooth-talking weasel that singlehandedly took down the company that I worked for . . . because he could.

Note: Watching the Today show, they note that a rumor has been floated via Drudge that Condi Rice might be a VP pick. Game changer?

Subject changer! They of course report this like they don’t know how it works.

Politics bitchez, get some!

Sure we are going to endure hours of false ads from Crossroads and the like, but its nice to witness a well organized, thoughtful, straight on attack from the WH. More Dems should take note.

Romney is a prime example of someone lying so much that he can’t keep track of his lies. What’s worse is that he apparently thinks that people will believe BOTH explanations.
