That’s a great recipe. Never let a citrus fruit go unzested; it’s just a half minute if you’ve got one of the infernal Food Channel microplanes.

Though I note those Floridians are grilling dolphin, SOBs! I’m glad the DNC punished them!

Betty excepted, of course.

Slacker…

On the off chance that someone may be confused, the Floridians are not barbecuing Flipper (that would be a Texas thing), but instead something more like:

Slacker…

Thanks to Thers (thanks, Thers!), I can rest on my laurels today.

And, no, I’m not planting laurels.

BTW, Mrs. Polly is right.  That marinade is really, really good. Normally use it with shark, but they didn’t have any today, so we’re trying it with scrod.  Little nervous about grilling it.  I will have to be the spatula master tonight.

Scrod not firm enough!  Abort!

Actually, the score would be gardening, marinated fish, etc., 3, blogging 1, since you just blogged about it. ; )

Is a gardening kind of weekend for me.  Two eleagnus, one Harry Lauder’s Walking Stick, and several chocolate and orange mint (the herbs, NOT candy).  Tomorrow are gardenia, a few sea oats and perhaps a move for a butterfly bush.

Scrod not firm enough!  Abort!

I think you’re right.  Maybe I’ll do it on foil, but then it’s not really grilling, is it?

Good point.  I guess I was documenting the score before I posted.

Use the foil…don’t be a hero.  Yes its grilling.  You’re outside and drinking.  The grill is on.  Finally!

So, how was the fish? : )

It came out really well.  rickD (thankfully) scared the living hell out of me, so we used a grill skillet. Worked great. I don’t know how we make it through the winter w/out our grill.

I’ve got one of those grill skillets too - use it for stir grilling veggies mainly.  Hadn’t thought about it for tender fish but that’s a great idea!
