Awwww! Bookends.

Now that’s an Olympic sport I could really get into!

Their front legs look freakishly short.

When you walk them together, do they ever do synchronized pooping?  I love when that happens.  I walk a pair of Westies who will occasionally hunker down and poop at the exact same time.  Yay!  One poop bag, one retrieval effort.  ‘Course they are Westies, and don’t usually offload anything that can’t be captured in one bag.  Big dogs are different.  Still, when the Westies do this, then they look at me with those beautiful, impish dark eyes, I pretend that they really like me and wanted to do me a special favor.

Yes.  This is my work.  It doesn’t have the cachet of, say, being House Majority leader, but it’s more wholesome and respectable.  I mean I pick up crap, I don’t sling it and then walk away.

And hey! Our dogs match, Betty. I have a brindle and a red and white.

LOL, great pic.  My beasties are pretty excellent at sleeping too.  They’re crashed and snoring when I leave for work and look pretty much like they haven’t moved when I get home.  Some people at the office were trading tips on crating their dogs during the day v. taking them to doggie day care.  Very happy that I have never had to worry about either!

Great blog title and photo.

Hey, is that a purple shag carpet?

That pic is as awesome as yesterday’s christapalooza thread.

Be still my heart.  Is that one on the right a Ridgeback?  The wife and I have three.  She’s worked in Rescue.  She probably knows the person you got him/her from.

Awwwwww, thanks, Betty.  I needed that.  And, Jewish Steel, your dogs are mighty cute, too!

@ Nellcote—Haha! They do. Bad camera angle.

@ Jewish Steel—very cute!

@ J—It’s a purple shag area rug.

@ Mr. W—They’re boxers. But my aunt had a Ridgeback. Excellent dogs.

@Larkspur: shake! No really, I used to be a dogwalker. I had a pair of Cairns, but they were individual in all things, so they were a two-baggie operation.

It’s a great job. Your clients are always happy to see you. There are other jobs like that, I hear, but you get much more fresh air this way.

@Betty, purple shag with brindle boxers on it is just the sort of pychedelia that we’d expect to find in the abode of any alinskyite.

Brava.
