I’d be happy to see this post left up on top for awhile. Kind of sums up the whole screwed-up nature of things, right there.
OT (as usual), and via Weigel, here’s a POLITICO editorial meeting, done in the same fashion as D.A.‘s legendary Ctr-Galt-Del post over at S,N!.*
*Unfortunately the (IMO) hilarious animation over at the Sadly site seems to be gone (or at least unlinked). I dunno, maybe they don’t leave these things up, except for paid subscribers or whatever. Linked to hosting post anyway to give credit where it’s muchly due.
“Bunning” is one of the defensive behaviors that distinguishes this species. The Bunning gland develops a red, engorged appearance to repel predators while the creature flees.
Curiously, the acrid odor excreted by this gland does not discourage attentions of a symbiotic nature from the variegated lobbyist, which is of the same family of invertebrates.
That raw footage should be the campaign commercial for every Dem running for office in 2010.
Period.
