Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said in an interview Wednesday that he was uncertain how many houses he and his wife, Cindy, own.   “I think — I’ll have my staff get to you,” McCain told Politico in Las Cruces, N.M.

The Obama campaign seized on the house issue Thursday with an ad called “Seven,” claiming that’s the number of houses McCain has.

The ad closes with a shot of the White House and the narration: “Here’s ONE house American can’t afford to let John McCain move into.”

Nice, quick work by the O-team.

Hell I know how many CDs I own. I like Tim Kaine’s response enough to rethink my opposition to him as the VP pick.

He couldn’t count high enough apparently to even know how many houses he owns.

In other words part of the problem here is that McCain is just plain stupid.

Apparently they don’t! I don’t know how to do links like you techie people but it’s on HuffPost as a big headline right now on their Politics page. “This is a guy who lived in one house for 5 and 1/2 years - in prison!!!!!!!” (exclamation points mine). And I am seeing other comments that it really has become “noun, verb, POW” Obama camp so needs to run with that.

McCain’s campaign is slowly melting into Giuliani’s, except instead of every sentence containing a noun, a verb, and 9/11, with McCain you get a noun, a verb, and POW.

This meme picked up steam in the media from what little I saw of the yapping heads last night. I sure hope it continues. I hope the Dems flog it in the convention. It’s silly little things like this that turn elections—like Bush the Elder’s astonishment at a grocery scanner.

In a way it’s unfortunate; voters should reject McBush because of his hideous policies that in no way align with their interests. But many of our fellow voters are dumber than a bag of hammers, my friends. They require symbolism that a 1st grade can easily recognize. McBush just handed us one.
