HillCo finally loses the leftosphere

Everyone knows Hillary and her campaign lost the big daddy of the leftosphere a while ago (Kos), but there have been quite a few respected, high traffic veteran bloggers who have remained fence-sitters during this primary season.  Over the last few days, several of them fell off and they didn’t tumble onto HillCo’s crabgrass and horsehit shit infested lawn. The list includes Duncan Black (aka Atrios), Kevin Drum, and TBogg. In addition, The Atlantic Monthly‘s James Fallows, one of my favorite journalists ever, felt the need to dial in his disgust with the Clinton campaign from China on his blog.

The pathetic wingnut-like antics of Hillary, her campaign staff and her more rabid supporters (I’ve documented plenty of them here) have reached a Scaife-fueled tipping point in the blogosphere and I don’t think there’s any turning back.

Now let’s turn our attention to a few fine bloggers who don’t get the attention they deserve.

First up, the righteously ballsy tas from Sugar Land is Dreaming (crossposted at Comments from Left Field):

Blatant racism and white supremacy has no place on any leftwing blog. None whatsoever. Earlier last week, a group email conversation between leftwing bloggers was launched to try and quell the infighting between Hillary and Obama supporters, to try and reach a truce. For my part, I said that I wouldn’t be able to stay quiet if some of the extreme Hillary supporters used racism and comparisons to Hitler against Obama, because that’s just over the line—and if the same actions were committed against Hillary by an Obama supporter, then I’d take those bloggers to the woodshed, too.

Well, as far as I’m concerned, the truce is dead. Long live its brief existence.

If SusanUnPC had any sense of humiliation, she would apologize for spreading the worst form of racism and retire from blogging. And if Larry Johnson had any honor, he would have booted her from posting on his blog a long time ago. But these Hillary supporters have no scruples. And I don’t want to make any blanket statements against Hillary’s other supporters, most of whom I’m sure aren’t completely insane, but let me just say that when you sleep with the dogs, you wake up with fleas. SusanUnPC and the rest of No Quarter is a flea-infested Great Dane, and it’s time for everyone—no matter what candidate you support—to admonish them; to boot them from discourse in the blogosphere. They no longer deserve to be here.

And even-keeled and thoughtful Riley from Zen Cabin has had enough:

You’ve probably seen the letter that was sent to Nancy Peslosi, by now.  I’ll be honest, it pissed me off.  I know that Hillary’s supporters have worked hard to push her to the top in this Primary and I respect that.  But, as a local campaign coordinator and a local candidate, myself, I know how hard it is to gain support and earn votes.  And Hillary’s recent behavior is a slap in the face to all the Democratic candidates at every level downstream from her.

I could highlight all of the outraged posts I’m stumbling upon all day (and night), but I’d need a few interns (any takers?) and a new hosting plan to help me push all of the tetrabytes out into the ether.

SIDE NOTE: Mayor Michael Bloomberg will be introducing Obama before he delivers a speech on the economy today in Manhattan. Smells like an endorsement to me. Look for Taylor Marsh to be sifting through Bloomberg’s garbage by end of day and for him to be tagged as an anti-Semite by Hillshills within hours.
