Yeah, that ridiculous 50-state strategy he proposed really came a cropper, didn’t it? /snark

Howard deserves a lot of credit. I just hope the DLC morons have learned a lesson from the defeat of Hillary Clinton AND McCain.

You can’t see it but in that shot he’s flipping Karl Rove the double bird.

Is it me or does he look really cute in that picture? Maybe it’s just Obamagoggles.

Howard Dean is, indisputably, the best thing that ever happened to the DNC.  DLC, rot in hell you greedy incompetent bastards.

I would think that if you want to pull a country together then you SHOULD acknowledge that all votes matter.

I remember back to the 92 election and people just campaigning in states that were “close”.  Way to take the other states for granted.  If I lived in a state where they couldn’t be bothered asking for my vote because they “expected” me to vote for them I’d go the opposite, it’s an insult.  It’s like “we only care about your vote if it’s close in your state”.

That’s why I don’t get Texas.  They’re not McCain fans but they drank up Sarah Palin even though Texas wasn’t good enough to have a baby in, uttered loud and clear by Todd Palin.  To me, that’s a friggin’ insult, but to them..oh yeah Texas not good enough to give birth in, you have our vote!

Rebecca, they didn’t do the opposite, instead voter turn out was depressed. That is how the DLC came into being, voters could barely be arsed to vote let alone contribute, so they got the bright idea of going Repub-lite to get corporations to fund them like they already do for the Repubs.

When you really think about it, it’s not an ingenious idea at all, but all these idiot consultants and pundits couldn’t see it anyway. “How about we get the people involved and interested in elections again?” That’s all the fifty state strategy is. Instead of a top down marketing campaign, it’s a bottom up grass roots organizing campaign.
