I dare you…

...to come up with a dumber “action sequence” than this one from Hard Ticket to Hawaii (tagline: “This Ain’t No Hula!”):

Take the challenge in the comments. Video links appreciated if available. Spoiler alerts where required.

No way, man.  That scene is so full of unadulterated awesome I can’t even begin to explain it.

Okay, I’ll try:  Skateboarding, off-center ponytails, blowup dolls, pectoralis muscles, rocket launchers, ROCKET LAUNCHERS!!!, gratuitous violence, totally unnecessary second rocket launch attack on aforementioned blowup doll…I challenge you to come up with a better action sequence!

off-center ponytails

t4toby for the win!

No hula indeed.

Really, it’s quite an achievement, bronze medalling the first time out. Am I disappointed? No, Hot Ticket to Hawaii was favored going in—I mean, you saw that bazooka—-they were tough competitors, and I’m just pleased to represent my country.

Oh, and the thing that makes Hard Ticket To Hawaii so good is that the WHOLE MOVIE is like that.

Pumalicious -

Wow. That was the ultimate. There can be no more fight scenes, ever.

Shit, anything from Takashi Miike beats that.

Shit, anything from Takashi Miike beats that.

Holy shit, that scene was pretty intense.

I was joking, of course.
