Lifting puppy ears should be added to the low end of the Foujita scale for hurricane destruction.
Of course, you might have to subdivide it:
Norfolk terrier puppy ears: light breeze, hardly noticeable
Boxer puppy ears: gusty, makes “wwwwhhhh wwwhhh” noise on videocam microphones
Bassett puppy ears: Yikes! Pick up your bassett puppy and GTFO!
I like the puppy ears idea!
