Ida blows

Here’s a look at the ragged eastern edge of Tropical Storm Ida. It’s blowing hard enough to lift a puppy’s ears, but not sufficiently to drive us inside…

Lifting puppy ears should be added to the low end of the Foujita scale for hurricane destruction.

Of course, you might have to subdivide it:

Norfolk terrier puppy ears: light breeze, hardly noticeable

Boxer puppy ears: gusty, makes “wwwwhhhh wwwhhh” noise on videocam microphones

Bassett puppy ears: Yikes! Pick up your bassett puppy and GTFO!
