I’ll get you elected, my pretty

I forget how it works—do we know she’s a witch if she floats her support for Romney, or if her endorsement sinks his chances?

I hope this actually means something to somebody. I want Max Headgroomed to be the GOP nom so friggin’ bad, you guys. That stutter-step delivery of his is worth 50 electoral votes all by itself.

Also, it gives me an excuse to post a picture of my dearly departed dog Peter in his “Christine O’Donnell as seen in that revolting Gawker hit piece” costume from last Halloween:

Of course not, honey, you’re a boy! A very good boy.

Awww, Peter! He looks so resigned to the leggings. My dogs would be wallowing on their backs furiously chewing at them in mere seconds!

So you’re stoked about Obama vs Romney, huh? I hope you’re right. Romney worries me more than the other GOP candidates because, aside from Huntsman, he alone is not obviously a lunatic.

But in true blind-hog-finds-acorn style, Asshole Assholeson of CNN and RedState may be onto something here:

Now, if you are foolish, given that the President intends to campaign on a moral case against success [hahahahaha!—ed.] and a lot of people are receptive to it, you might want to put up a candidate who made his money doing leveraged buy outs, laying off people, and restructuring companies. That’s precisely why Mitt Romney is such a terrible fit for the zeitgeist of this election season.

It is true that Romney looks and sounds like one of the dreaded suits who comes in to strip a company to its bare bones and ship production to China in the name of greater shareholder returns. In his case, looks are not deceiving.

The freepers are very, very upset with Glenn Beck:

“There is no spin in BeckTard calling us racists.”

“FUGB….You are dead to me.”

I’m finding this whole Beck vs Breitbart thing very hilarious. Did y’all hear about his latest mass rally idea? First there was “Restoring Honor.” Then there was “Restoring Courage.” Now there is “Restoring Love.”

There’s a story about Barbra Streisand, possibly apocryphal, but it sounds true: She was watching one of her terrible movies on network TV, and a commercial came on. The volume was way louder than the movie, which annoyed Babs. Now, most of us plebes would reach for the remote at that point. Not Streisand: She gets the network boss on the horn and orders him to turn down the damn volume on the commercials!

What does this have to do with Beck? Nothing, really, but I think he’s got a similarly grandiose vision of himself. That’s why he holds these stupid rallies.

*averts eyes from doggy atrocity*

he alone is not obviously a lunatic

He’s not obviously of human stock either, but I guess that may not count against him, though it should fill quite a few hilarity-packed pages on the blog.

If Mittens gets the nomination, look forward to epistemic whiplash of hadron collider proportions as Assholeson and his ilk (sadly, he has plenty of ilk) blithely ignore any legitimate criticisms they may have once leveled at Rom the Nom—while all the Dems and their surrogates will need to do is air showreels of the Grinch and others pointing out much the same uncharacteristic home truths—and focus on the real enemy. Ron Paul.

Betty, I agree that Romney is the least obvious asshole that the GOP has, and therefore would seem to be the strongest candidate for the general.  However, he also seems to be the most flappable.

Newt would tell you to your face that he had never been involved in <X>, you could show him videotape of him doing <X>, and he would still deny it.  I think you could mug Mitt Romney through the mail.

LOL! Good point, Mike.

Mitt is proof that the animatronics guys haven’t gotten very far with the AI programming; one question that Mitt is touchy about and smoke comes out his ears as his gums flap about wildly.

There is also the issue with evangelicals being Mormon-phobic.  I saw something recently where some big deal pastor has said no way will ‘his people’ (who said slavery is dead in the US?) vote for Mr. Magic Underwear.

Also, Gil - Peter was a gorgeous dog, and tolerant too!
