OMG, that’s some funny shit! I’m sure that poor station is now the object of a “prowl.”

Comment by Betty Cracker on 11/17/08 at 05:29 PM

Icepick initiated her own prowl in this thread.

This poor lass is having a really hard time understanding it all:

To Jennifer… I’m confused also seeing letters to Ernesto. I thought you really liked him? What did I miss while taking all those doggone classes/tests? Does this mean you won’t be on his radio station anymore?

And

Wait a minute… I’m really confused… after the program, didn’t Ernesto even seem like he was offereing her to come back more often or something? Did Jennifer and Murphy go to see him that monday or something? What happened? Gosh, I feel like I just walked into the twilight zone. Last I knew everything was so ok from that call in program that it seemed like he was going to offer you a program or something. WHAT DID I MISS HERE? WHAT HAPPENED?

Comment by Kevin K. on 11/17/08 at 05:53 PM

The title perfectly encapusulates my feelings about the whole puma thing.  WTF was that?

Comment by Pete on 11/17/08 at 06:00 PM

Somebody has got to get Robert Smigel to do the Powerless Pussy Posse cartoon!

(Roar! Pounce! Prowl! FAIL!)

“OMG! There’s a lawsuit! That means he did something wrong!”

Do these useless pieces of fucktardery not know that ANYONE can sue anybody at any time almost anywhere? That’s why they’re called “frivolous” lawsuits. If they were screened before getting in front of a judge, that category wouldn’t exist.

Comment by Kerry Reid on 11/17/08 at 06:42 PM

Wow, there’s a whole lot of crazy going on over there now since Jenniforhillary (now Jennifer X) told all the PUMAPac flying monkeys to swarm the station’s blog.  Strangeappar8tus is over there kicking PUMA butt.  It’s pretty funny!

Comment by marindenver on 11/17/08 at 07:26 PM

Pathetic or hilarious? I can’t decide.

Comment by Tom65 on 11/17/08 at 07:33 PM

I’m loving your posts over there StangeApp, you are kicking their ass with logic and they cant handle it! hahahaha

Comment by johnD on 11/17/08 at 07:39 PM

Oh my ... every one put drape yourself in plastic.  If this is true, being anywhere near the PUMAsphere will be like sitting in the front row at a Gallagher show. Heads are going to be exploding all over the place.

Comment by Kevin K. on 11/17/08 at 07:40 PM

Murph must’ve missed the news about Hillary. The latest prowl has something to do with Adam Moss.

I wouldn’t want to be the poor man’s editorial assistant.

Comment by ts on 11/17/08 at 09:42 PM

In the spirit of kicking them while they’re down, let’s take back their icon.

Roar.

Comment by Brendan on 11/17/08 at 10:19 PM

Betty:

I’m sure that poor station is now the object of a “prowl.”

We took a drive-by AK-47 round into the control room last year, and the KKK blew up our transmitter twice in the 80’s.

I’m sure we can handle a ‘prowl’.

sounds ominous though.

Comment by scooter on 11/17/08 at 10:56 PM

Scooter - go take a look at Ernesto’s WTF Was That post and you’ll see the Prowl. Only a few of us got mixed in as well…

Sorry to hear about the drive-by...damn.

Comment by Denise aka gimmeabreak on 11/17/08 at 11:15 PM

Their “prowls” seem to consist of bombarding the opposition with hairballs. I’d wondered why so many of them signed themselves PUMA HAKA.

Comment by Mrs. Polly on 11/17/08 at 11:31 PM

I posted this over at yes to democracy, same conversation over there.

They wanted an opportunity to speak for themselves, and they got it.

They spoke for themselves, and everybody listening definitely got it.

BWAHAHAHAAHAHA.

I almost wrecked my car driving in, I was laughing so hard.

You’re right though, it WAS a public service, unintentional.

I was just listening to KPFT on my work break and they’re STILL talking about it on the air.

As far as Houston Pacifica listeners, PUMA went from obscurity to total infamy in one hour.

Im loving the blog at this moment, they are really shooting themselves in the foot. I also love the occasional, “I didn’t hear the show but” comment from a prowler.

Comment by johnD on 11/18/08 at 12:31 AM

Just finished listening to the MP3 of the radio show. Wow.

This was one of the best examples of how the PUMAs can’t seem to function outside one of their litterboxes.

In a PUMA litterbox, they can remain one with landru, hearing nothing but the carefully edited comments from other PUMA sockpuppets and kool-aid drinkers. They can believe they paid down Sen. Clinton’s campaign debt (they didn’t), they can believe their Washington DC conference was a big event (it wasn’t), they can believe they made a difference in Denver (they didn’t). They can believe in Berg, and Martin, and Murphy, and Bowers, and that winged fairies from far far away are going to wave their magic wands, drive away teh ebil Obambi, and restore the Blessed Saint Hillary, Warrior/Martyr of the PUMA cause, into her rightful place.

Problem is the version of “Dear Hillary” they believe in has nothing in common anymore with the REAL Sen. Hillary Clinton. Indeed, PUMAs actions have spit on everything Sen. Clinton stands for.

Once they venture outside of the safety of the PUMA litterboxes though, they meet reality, and it’s far different than they are used to. They can’t accept that 52% of the American people weighed the scales and decided Barack Obama would be a better president than John McCain. They can’t acccept there’s absolutely no real evidence that Obama was born anywhere BUT Hawaii. They can’t accept their made up demon bears as much relation to the real thing, as their version of “Dear Hillary” has with Sen. Clinton.

In short, they freak out when reality isn’t like the safely padded and censored world they find at PUMAPAC, Riverdaughter, TexasDarlin, and many of the other PUMA litterboxes.

Which explains why “Jennifer” and Murphy acted as rude, obnoxious, loud, and arrogant towards the callers as they did. Because they couldn’t stand the cold light of reality showing their little fantasy world is as hollow and empty as a rotting jack o’lantern 3 weeks after Halloween. Their minds are made up, don’t confuse them with facts - or reality.

Comment by Patrick McKinnion on 11/18/08 at 01:24 AM

They have a few disturbing commanalities with classic celebrity stalkers:

* Conflation of themselves with the celebrity: “I couldn’t believe what those horrible men did to her/me!”

* idealizing the celebrity: “the most shining star! Brilliant! Rise, Hillary!”

* unrealistic expectations for the celebrity: Jenni4Hillary in particular wanted Hillary to seize the mike in Denver and just scream, “NOoooooooooo!!!”:

“ I happen to KNOW that the Clintons are dead meat in Washington. They are not on the B list, not even on any lists. They will not be on any committees, and they will not get invited to any parties. They are out, and HE is in. And ALL OF THIS might have been prevented if, in Denver, she had grabbed a live mike and told the truth.”

*turning against the celebrity when the celebrity doesn’t respond exactly as the stalker fantasizes:

“Sorry, but I don’t give a damn if Hillary is or is not a feminist, I am just sad as hell that I don’t think she is an American. And you can pillory me or condemn me or throw me to the wolves, but ANYONE who has knowledge of THAT ONE and tells people to vote for him is not my friend, my countrywoman, or my Hillary. And, all this coming from someone who would have put my life on the line to stand up, protect, defend, or support this woman….”

JenniforHillary now calls herself “Jennifer X” and asked the Hillary campaign for her money back, leaving the other 17,999,999 PUMAs to carry the weight.

I don’t think Jenni is camped out in an unmarked van in Chappequa, exactly, but she’s entering Frommeville, Squeaky and all.

I have allowed myself time to sit and read the posts, and be with PUMA. More and more I find myself not wanting to be in reality, but to be with PUMA.

I think I will dedicate myself to making PUMA reality.

Mountain, if I have to leave my life I may come up to the mountain with you. I told my mother I was thinking about living in a cave for the rest of my life; to this she said nope, I do not think that is a good idea. calmly.

uh oh, rumors of a new lost cause.

mountainsong 11.18.08 at 12:52 am

Today, I read that only 20% of the whites in the South voted for BO and that there is seccession talk. White Nationalism is increasing just as quickly as black racism.

I guess that means that the Colts will be shipped North and wind up in third place behind Pittsburg and Baltimore.

That whole “the Clintons aren’t gonna be invited to any more cool DC parties!” thing cracks me up the most, for some reason. I guess it’s because I’m always amused by people who can’t distinguish between reality and an episode of “Gossip Girl.”

Question. Why does everyone refer to President Elect Obama when he has not been elected yet?

Erm ...

And I think PUMA PAC just uncovered the plot of its next film:

murphy 11.18.08 at 1:35 pm
i wrote a play once about this queen who’s pregnant with the heir and she wakes up and can’t find the baby so she runs to a cave during a storm to find the baby and the henchmen find her and perform a caesarean to get the baby back for the king but the baby’s not there and just before she dies on the operating table she looks up and the baby is standing over the stage at the end of a golden branch and just as she dies the baby jumps off the branch and is hung by the rope around his neck.

The head henchman is the king’s fool, and he says “motherfucker” a lot.

WHEN WILL OBAMA SHOW US HIS PROOF OF ELECTION CERTIFICATE!!!!!

I have emailed Phillip Berg about this. And have been attempting to contact by phone General Counsel Thomasenia Duncan and Inspector General Lynne McFarland at the FEC to ask them to demand action immediately. I have also written to each member of the US Supreme Court, Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Gary Roughead, and Interpol’s Secretary General Ron Noble, concerning That Precious One’s global criminal misogynist election fraud network. I’ll let you all know what is being done about this when I hear back from these people. Meanwhile, be wonderful to each other and enjoy today’s happy song! (posted upstairs).

Well, that’s OK then. The PUMAs have been consoling themselves for their ongoing KPFT drubbing by retiring to the kittybunker, locking the doors, drawing the shades and snarking on the supposed poll by Zogby for John Ziegler that “exposed” woeful ignorance among Obama voters by applying unknown selection criteria for respondents and asking questions which include a number that have dubious answers (IOW, the question-setters showed their own ignorance), glorying the while in a catty way about how superior PUMAs are.

Nate Silver does a neat dissection of this “poll” here: http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/zogby-engages-in -apparent-push-polling.html

I won’t bother linking to any of the PUMA comments as I’m kinda tired of shooting fish in a barrel. But woah - the number of posts they have on each thread over on PUMA PAC is WAY down. Any correlation to the KPFT debacle, I wonder?

Comment by Denzil on 11/18/08 at 07:21 PM

I’ve noticed that too, Denzil.  Don’t know if it’s related to the radio show, but there’s been some trouble in pumaland lately - much sniping and internal strife.

I think Darragh will suffer from letting the crazier of the inmates run the show over there.

That’s not KPFT’s blog, that is Ernesto’s blog, he’s the program director and had the unfortunate job of running the board for Icepick and Murphy’s Law.

There is an audio sub-text to the PUMAcide FAIL.

Notice that Ice-pick repeatedly pleaded to move on to the next caller when things began to heat up, which didn’t happen, because the calls were being controlled by Ernesto, and there’s a policy against hanging up on callers. This led to much of the mayhem because Icepick was reduced to silencing callers with over-talk.

I’ll be doing some sort of PUMADY this Thursday evening, not sure what, I’m working on a New Shoes script.

PUMA sneakers, treated with a new space age reality repellent, nothing can get through to them, you can kick dirt around all day and they look brand new.

Special shoe top armor to prevent shooting yourself in the foot…
etc etc

feel free to contribute

HEY, that’s MY EXCUSE!!  Right off Shattuck and Ashby, been swept up off the floor of the Starry Plough more times than I remember.

My wife is an Oakland Girl, that’s where we fell in love and got knocked up and the rest is family.

I lived in Oakland most of my fifteen years in the East Bay, if you were ever startled by some really obnoxious sound, that was me on my Triumph with straight pipes.

My wife’s next door neighbor was Bobby Seale and her brother was playmates with his kid, no shit!!

I really miss Oakland but they don’t miss me, I was a bit of a trouble-maker.

Any city where the Grateful Dead is the local band is bound to be fun.

oops, showing my age.

We’re ramping up for more PUMedy this thurs, but you don’t have to catch it in realTime, all the programs are archived on my website http://acksisofevil.org/innerside.html air quality.

The posts after KPFT were the kind of baiting and disinformation I haven’t seen since the 1960’s and 1970’s. These attacks are programmatic and carried out by a cadre of professionals.I think we should take this very seriously because we are being taken seriously.

murphy 11.19.08 at 12:10 am

good ideas PumaBear — and i agree with you on all of them. I like this one:

“Create a cadre of good speakers to address women’s organizations.”

Run for your life, NOW! But I guess NOW is on the outs since they endorsed Obama. Maybe the PUMA speakers can address the choir at The New Agenda.

or maybe not. could of sworn she mentioned she was from SF in a puma comment thread at some point. but then i noticed she mentioned during the radio show that she was orginally from Cleveland, and an attorney too. So, despite all that… I still stand by my Hostess Sno-Ball claim.

Comment by the farmer on 11/20/08 at 05:15 AM

If you believe jeniforhillary’s ramblings in combat on PUMA PAC, she’s also a national authority on counselling women who’ve been abused (her specialty appears to be the choice of calibre of ammo they should choose when they gain empowerment through firepower).

But on all the evidence, I’m slowly beginning to be drawn to dismiss her as yet another online fantasist living in pajamas in her granny’s attic.

Or she’ll end up a national figure last seen on the roof of a tall building with a six-pack, a bowl of kibble and an AK47 before being blasted to pulp. Close call. I’d steer clear, regardless.
