Jane…

Yes it’s trite, but it fits.

Petulant Left blogger Jane Hamsher, quoted today in The Hill:

Markos Moulitsas of Daily Kos, who is also a columnist for The Hill, said he didn’t think Obama would get a 2012 primary challenge “in a million years.”
In an e-mail, Moulitsas also said Obama shouldn’t be challenged.
Still, some influential figures on the left, which erupted in fury this week at criticism White House press secretary Robert Gibbs made in an interview with The Hill,
suggest a multitude of voices in New Hampshire and Iowa could be helpful to the party.

“I have always encouraged a diversity of voices in the primary process, within all parties and at all levels of government,” said Jane Hamsher, founder of Firedoglake.com, a leading liberal blog.

Yes, Jane, because the only way to advance Progressive issues is to elect more Republicans. It’s so obvious to me now.

I’ve never had much regard for Hamsher. Her disastrous dalliance with the Lamont campaign was an early indicator that her first and only love is the sound of her own voice. Then there was the Grover Norquist Incident. And now this.

Team Gibbs.

It was pretty clear to me that Gibbs was talking about people like Hamsher, who are seemingly hardwired to seek the klieg lights. But Gibbs should probably have remembered that there are a lot of whiny bitches and drama queens hanging around like barnacles on the good ship Poutrage. “He’s talking about ME!!!”

You wish, cupcake.

The Useful Idiots remain useful.

On the other hand, her site hosts the awesome Tbogg, so there is chance for redemption yet.

Count me in for Team Gibbs. After all the pathetic press secretaries we saw in the last eight years, Gibbs is a refreshing change and I welcome his views, however inartful in may seem by the Dem’s play holy book.

How are we defining “influential”?

Zandar, the stupids are infiltrating your comments.  I wanted to leave one in rebuttal but got tangled up in the intricacies of your comments page.  Sorry.

Oh and:  TEAM. GIBBS. TEAM. GIBBS.  RAHRAHSISBOOMBAH!

They do that.  It’s awesome.

Jane H. should be flattered to get a shout out from Robert Gibbs.

Team Gibbs!

I want to be on Jane’s side.  I really do.  But the Grover Norquist Incident was so incredibly fucking stupid that I will never trust a word she says again.

Thank god Tom didn’t watch this video of Hamsher with her adorable “professional left” business cards or he might have called her a “whore bag.”

My favorite part is that after Gibbs said this…

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested. I mean, it’s crazy.”

...Hamsher said in the video link above that one of the things that can save Obama in 2012 is if he legalizes marijuana.

That’s really what she thinks. Everyone is telling her that! Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

This is why I decided to peel away from politics for a while. The stupidity from both sides was driving me insane. I’m a thousand times happier when I read Jonathan Lethem and CrankyKaplan* instead of Atlas Shrugs and FDL.

* I turned Cole onto CrankyKaplan, so don’t go there. FUCK YOU.

Kevin, I need to tell you this as a friend:

JONATHAN LETHEM SOLD US OUT HE’S WORSE THAN BUSH!!!!!
