Without the genius of Affleck, Matt is an empty husk. he should never have gone solo.

Rob Van Winkle should sue Wingnut Matt Damon for stealing his moves.

Poor spindly milk-white creature, stuck to his vinyl couch!

He tries getting out, absorbing warmth from the sun, but look, behind him, everybody’s strolling in groups of two and three and four. They’re admiring the cherry blossoms, picnicking, sunning—and there he is, all by his lonesome.

He tries to look hip but is actually cut off, with his ear-buds and his oversized drugstore Wayfarers.

He tries to climb a tree. He tries, clumsily, to bust some moves. He goes home and postures in front of the bathroom mirror.  He tries to tell anybody who he can get to listen how he worries about his taxes. He’s so worried about his taxes.

But still he is alone.  Cut off from life. Cut off from love. Cut off from hope.
