Listen to Rumproast’s Kevin K. tonight on BlogTalkRadio’s “Subliminal Radio”

Hey, kinda late notice, but I’ll be on BlogTalkRadio tonight with “Subliminal Radio” host Ripley from Whiskey Fire and Zen Cabin at 9:00PM ET (with another “surprise” guest*). I suppose we’ll be talking about those people and other stuff, too. You can check it out here and, if you want to call in (please do), the phone number is (646) 915-9912.

* Okay, it’s been confirmed.  The other guest will be ass-kicker extraordinaire Christina of Yes to Democracy/The ANTI-PUMA.

UPDATE: You can access an archive of the show directly here.

That’s 9pm Eastern, for you slackers in the other time zones.

Wait, that’s me!  D’oh!

Thanks for the heads up, Ripley.  Normally I’m pretty good about that.  Fixed.

I wonder if McCain will call in. Word is he’s pretty agitated about getting caught pastorbaiting in public. And someone please email Darragh Murphy so we can ask her if she’s alive on the inside. I’m thinking not.

Does McCain know how to work a telephone?  He might spend the whole duration of the show looking for where the crank is.

Well, that’s a good point. They say Cindy is usually yanking his crank for him, since he needs all the help he can get. (They are talking about phones, aren’t they?) But her arm is in cast from touching the commoners.

Does McCain know how to work a telephone?

BR-fuckin-549, damnit!

By the way, I assume you can say words like “ratfucking” on blog talk radio, right?

By the way, I assume you can say words like “ratfucking” on blog talk radio, right?

Ewwww, do you mean people actually do that? Yuck.

heh!  Yeah, it’s a mature show.

PS -

You can also e-mail me (ripley>zencabin.com) or reach me on Skype at ‘hailripley’, if you just want to send a comment or question without calling in.

Very, very well done, peeps!

Rats, I missed all but the goodbyes—I’m frantically trying to wrap up a bunch of projects before the looming hurricane blows my house out into the Gulf of Mexico.

It’ll be archived, I’m hoping…

Ripley said an MP3 will be available for download about 15 minutes after the show. Kevin will also post it with an embedded link. As for the show, Christina has the most contagious laugh, Kevin does not have a Brooklyn accent, which he must explain to us, and Ripley is getting a new phone (once Kevin starts a new PAC and raises five million dollars.)

Stay safe down there!

Awesome show tonight!

You were great, Christina.

Thank you pop! I think we made some valid points- and laughed while doing so. Which means we win, because PUMAs can’t laugh and be activists at the same time.

You got that right ... it’s the difference between positive energy and negative spirit.

I listened to the whole show.  Had the phone ready to call in but I was enjoying listening too much.

Besides, you guys pretty much covered my comment which was that these groups keep making demands of the Democratic Party ‘or else’.  If their entire list of demands is not met, they will tear up the list, throw it out the window and vote for the Republicans.  It’s more of a tantrum mentality than a valid movement.

I was going to call in, too, Glix, but the conversation never got around to McCain’s problem of pastorbaiting in public. I’m so not worthy.

Hey, sorry.  Had to do a few things.  Didn’t realize that was going to be a two hour show.

Was a lot of fun. I hope, at the very least, that I pushed out a chuckle or two during the course of it.

I am upset that we didn’t get around to discussing Susie Fogelson.  It’s tough being me.

Kevin does not have a Brooklyn accent

I guess I never mentioned that I was born and raised in Uruguay.

Great job tonight, Kev. You guys should do a panel on a regular basis. The collective intelligence is impressive.

Yeah! Awesome, i was going to make an international call from the wilds of tropical melbourne in Australia because i felt if the show was missing anything, it was dashing Australian brogue. But well…i didn’t. NEXT time though.

Great job guys. Hopefully a semi regular deal!

LOL, next time.

Kevin—if I call in to the next show, is it bad form to just identify myself as Glix?  There are some less than honorable folks in the blogosphere who might want to know my real name for nefarious purposes.

Glix, would be fine by me, but I guess Ripley would have to speak to that. I think, at the very least, he’d need to know your zodiac sign before letting you on with an alias.

BTW, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting up a BTR show (I’ve already set up an acct a few weeks ago), but I get nauseous when I think about committing to anything resembling a schedule.

I guess I never mentioned that I was born and raised in Uruguay

I hope you’re snarking now.  You sound like you have a New England accent.

And that was fun!

You sound like you have a New England accent.

Ouch.  Nailed. Good job.

But for the record, I also grew up in Missouri and NJ as a kid.

And Uruguay.

Good show, Ripley!  (Though I did have some trouble hearing you.)  I enjoyed getting a chance to speak with you, Kevin and Christina.  It was also cool to hear from some of the other people I read regularly, like Tommy Christopher.  Anti-Rocinante had some really interesting things to say; I can’t wait to hear more from him.

I missed the second half of the show but hope to catch it on the replay.

(I wonder if blogtalkradio can be set up to patch Skype calls through.  Then people like douglas, our friend down under, can call in without having to mortgage their homes.)

David Plouffe

A suggestion:

Get all of the links you guys mentioned on the show posted here or somewhere else, to make it easier for us to see them!

I don’t know if I’m going to be able to listen to all of it tonight, but it’s good stuff, at the 1-hour mark.

Thanks, everyone! and thanks, Kevin, for hanging around so long.  You and Christina and cello and Tommy and Anto and Denise were great!

BTR has a problem with the host signal but I think I can get around it so the next show sounds better.

No PUMA calls, though… huh…

I also grew up in Missouri and NJ as a kid. And Uruguay.

I thought I detected a mix of Montevideo and Missoula.

I was totally in nowheresville (actually a place that Kevin did some growing up, but not Uruguay) for this and missed the whole thing.

Does McCain know how to work a telephone?  He might spend the whole duration of the show looking for where the crank is.

In fact he does not.  I broke this story a few days ago.
