McMancrush. Plus, let the Big Dawg whine.

Did you know that McCain is so very honorable and straight-talky that he couldn’t possibly be responsible for his own campaign’s scurrilous attack ads? Even though the ads end with, “I’m John McCain, and I approved this message”? Even when he personally tells reporters he’s proud of the ads?

I didn’t either, but that’s the conclusion Mike Barnicle (subbing for Tweety on Hardball), Andrea Mitchell and Roger Simon reached last night.  Really.

It doesn’t matter what McCain does; the media just can’t quit him.

Big Dawg yaps

Hillary Clinton as VP? Na-ga-ha-pen. The Most Qualified Woman in the History of the Universe will be denied the second spot because of the ginormous ego of one man. No, not that one. This one:

Perhaps embittered Hillary supporters should direct their ire accordingly.

Andrea said she thinks McCain’s handlers are misleading him, that he is inside a bubble. Surely what she meant to say was that he has his ancient head up his ass.

Couldn’t agree more about Bubba.

Oh, jumpin jeebus on a bag o’ potatoes (how’d I do, Betty?). And my pal Andrea did such a great job last week tearing apart McCain’s campaign manager. I guess the media will help the McSame campaign come up with a new slogan like “Out of Touch, But In For America” or “John McCain’s Ginormous Patriotism Bubble.” Or “Don’t Wake up John McCain, He’s Straight-Dreaming.”

And I’ve seen that Clinton video at a bunch of PUMA blogs and there’s no way I’m watching it. The YouTube freeze frame tells me about all I need to know.  I’m trying to move on.

Okay, I got about two minutes into it and then it made me squirm. Bill should know when to take a pass on questions.  Once that forehead crinkles up, there’s nowhere to go but down from there.

Jack & Jill is having none of it.

Oh, I’m sure that Clinton vid is pure gold to the PUMA posse. It’ll be interesting to see how this little drama plays out. Hillary Clinton will do and say all the right things, I’m sure. She has a political future to worry about.

Neither Clinton is dumb enough to think they’ll have a shot in 2012 if Obama loses and they’re perceived as having a part in it. But Bill is always all about Bill, so the question is, can put his wounded fee-fees aside for the good of his own wife if not the party? So far, it doesn’t look like it.

Having observed him on the political scene for 15 years now, I’m certain there’s no hypocrisy he’ll shrink from if properly motivated. Hillary needs to come up with some motivation and quick.

"Black folk ain’t studdin’ you, or your wife.”

I guess it’s safe to say everyone in this wonderful world truely knows their friends or know how people REALLY feel about them when times are rough.

Bill’s done, we all know that.  And I think McCain know’s he’s done himself in as well.  So if he thinks booting a black state journalist from his big tent, then he’s got another thing coming.  I truely doubt that they’ve calculated activist blacks into the equation.  If McCain and his camp keep with the dog whistle politics, it might just get ugly.  For the most part most blacks are smart enough to keep a low profile (save; Jeremiah and Ludacris).  but if he keeps blowing the dog whistles, his only option into the home stretch could only be the wonderful “free speech zones”.
