Monday Morning “Music”: The Young Cons’ “Health Care Nightmare”

The most unintentionally funny thing about this new music video by The Young Cons is:

  1. The way the first girl dances (SHE IS SO VERY, VERY WHITE!)
  2. The fact that autotune makes Serious C sound like a special needs robot
  3. The super creepy B&W part where Stiltz asks bad-dancing-girl if she wants to know the difference between conservative and liberal (right before he dumps GHB into her sloe gin fizz)
  4. The line where Serious C equates freedom with owning a “50-inch plasma”
  5. The segment where Serious C tries to rap the line “We need less Meghan McCain and more Laura Ingraham.”
  6. THE ENTIRE FUCKING THING

The answer is number 6.

“Wanna know the difference of conservative and liberal”

WTF? Note to Mos Daft, it’s OK if English isn’t your first language but get a friend who owns a blue pencil to go over the lyrics with you next time.

And OMG, cardboard Reagan abuse.

Those two hussies are totally disrespecting Nancy Reagan, grinding on that cutout of her man. Meatprod, Lambot: muster all the poutrage you’ve got, ‘cause it’s your time to shine!

That’s right, Meatprod and Lambot need to prove that they know how to resist the pull of tribal alignment and get on this right away.  Sharpen the discourse, employ the analytical tools, not become meme laundries, wot, wot?

I made it about a minute in, then quickly head over to YouTube to wash my brain out with some Public Enemy.

BTW, Chuck D is the greatest MC of all time.  OF ALL TIME.

Oh, so it’s all right when THEY get busy with cardboard politicians. Though to be fair, that’s as deep a portrait of Saint Ronnie as anybody in the GOP has ever offered.

He would certainly take a Sharpie inscription as well as any other of their two-dimensional idols.

The line where Serious C equates freedom with owning a “50-inch plasma”

Yeah, that jumped at me too; everybody knows LCDs last twice as long. I mean, if you’re doing a lot of off-angle viewing, a plasma set might be worth the…

What? I was supposed to find this humorous for another reason?

Is that one note the only conservative one?  I guess all the other notes refused lend their tones to such a lame “song”.
