Anybody else read Stephen King’s “The Stand”?
That’s what this election is starting to remind me of.
Obama’s campaign is the Boulder camp. McCain’s campaign is the Las Vegas camp.
One side is all about hope, optimism, and unity. The other side is all about fear, negativity, and division.
The ironic part is that it is McCain’s supporters who seem to only think in binary terms, and yet independents like myself can take a step back and see that this has truly turned into enlightened versus regressive, educated versus ignorant, tolerant versus hateful.
Thanks to Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Michelle Pfotenhauer, and the other fundamentalists who would prefer to slice this country into a 50.1/49.9 majority, the choice has become abundantly clear to anyone with a clear head and an objective outlook.
