Pop, that could so easily be a video of me. I am just like that every morning except I do it here. Mmmm, tasty Gowanus water.

The stream crosses about 300 feet behind my property, but where I took this particular clip was about 1,000 feet west. I live in a typical suburban neighborhood but am lucky enough to be on a golf course with huge sycamore and assorted other trees, and lots of natural water. There are fox, deer, occasionally coyote ... but no moose.
Iceberg, is that a current picture of Gowanus Bay? It’s beautiful! :)
Ah, seeing pictures of the Gowanus brings a tear to my eye, just as walking over the bridge to Pathmark used to bring tears to my eyes. I understand that’s gotten better lately.
I used to live on Luquer Street, in a fourth floor walkup in the last building on the last street before the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, which ran right under my exhaust-encrusted kitchen window. The whole building shook whenever a truck went by, but the river of red taillights disappearing into the distance was an impressive sight. Luckily for my lead levels, I was able to move.
After the deadline, I’m going to stop doing this boring and repetitive nagging, but there’s a subsidized housing lottery to get on a list here in my soulless but centrally located lower Manhattan apartment complex, and if you click on my name it will take you to all the information. It closes on Dec. 16, so you really have only abt a week and a half to get yourself in gear and mail your application if you’re interested.
When I am reincarnated, I want to come back as Poputonian’s puppy. Thanks Keven and Mar and Pop and Betty and Iceberg for providing fellowship when the PUMAloons were giving me agita. Now it’ll just be the relatives.
