One very simple question for PUMA PAC’s founder Darragh Murphy

The PUMAs have been pushing around a video “teaser” all weekend for the sure-to-be-a-dud documentary The Audacity Of Democracy (executive producer Darragh Murphy) and it starts with a fairly shocking confession by Murphy that not one PUMA that I’ve seen has so much as blinked at. Right at the start of the teaser Darrargh lets us know the following (in a weird “ya huh, that happened!” delivery):

So I got this call this morning on my way down on the train from blocked caller, I couldn’t see who it was from, and he asked me—he was hard to understand at first—but finally this was clear, he said would I be interested and how could he convince me and my group to help him kill Barack Obama?

So here’s my simple question for PUMA PAC founder Darragh Murphy: Did she contact the authorities (or, more specifically, the Secret Service) after receiving that phone call? How she answers that question speaks volumes about her character and the PUMA movement at large.

MORE: Looks like there are a few cracks in the PUMA PAC.

OH MY: Via the comments at Yes to Democracy, I see that the woman in the teaser driving away with the complaint book is, ummmm, well, just go read one of her emails here (and follow some of the links). Yeah, she seems credible.

Great question. Maybe someone should forward the YouTube link to the Secret Service in case it slipped Murphy’s mind that threats against presidential candidates are serious business.

It’s also odd that she would start a segment that’s supposed to demonstrate that Obama’s supporters are crazed zealots with an account of talking to a nutbag who wants to join forces with her group to kill Obama.

Exactly. I don’t get how the filmmakers (both PUMAs) think that’ll help the cause. Unless the PUMA “goal” is a bit more sinister than they’ve been letting on.  Weird.

The plot thickens: One of the “film makers” showed up at yestodemocracy.com to answer a question in comments. I asked her whether or not Murphy reported the call and also why they thought an anecdote about a deranged anti-Obama would-be assassin demonstrated that Obama supporters are cultish.

The whole opening does seem like a total non-sequitur, doesn’t it?  Either they’ve got a really bad editor or they’re trying to play subliminal auto-suggestion games with some of their nuttier followers.

And who was that scary blogger chatting with Darragh?  Was that river-rotter?

Yes.  Henceforth she shall be known as Chucky.

LOL!  The resemblance is uncanny.

Thanks for spreading the word about Sandra, the thief, who decided to purloin the files on the night of the caucus.  She has been a disgrace to the Democratic Party, and Dallasites in general.  If she is the best example they had to prove any “Pro Obama” bias...they are hard up for facts.

Sandra is currently suing anyone and everyone she feels have ‘wronged” her.  She is trying to claim indigency status, so that the tax payers can take the financial hit for her frivolous lawsuits.

She also has a history as a ex public official, that included taking money and services under the table from taxi companies, while she sat on committees that oversaw the licensiing of the cabs.

Oh yeah, they were definitely hard up for sources.
