Could the cons be more transparent?  They accuse Sonamayor or racism because that’s exactly what they are.  Their entire agenda is about protecting the interests of rich old white men, so it beguiles them that someone of Puerto Rican ancestry would not be single-mindedly looking out for the interests of her fellow Puerto Ricans.

Re the Sonia SotomaySNORE hearings… OMG. Could they be any more snore-inducing? I turned them on a few times and found myself nearly face down in my mug of joe (the non-Scarborough variety). The exchange with Orrin Hatch earlier—I just couldn’t take it. I almost wished there was a Michael Jackson update or some celebrity died. Instead all CNN came up with was the creepy story about cemetery workers digging up graves and reselling them.

Seriously, is all this necessary, except as a way for egomaniacal senators to get some air time? Yeah, question her. But will any of this really make a lick of difference?
