Pete Souza: White House Photography Done Right

Granted, I don’t know anything about the history of official White House photographers, but there’s no doubt that photojournalist Pete Souza will go down as one of the best.  He’s uploaded a bunch of his photographs to Flickr and they’re quite stunning.  I’d go right to Flickr to check them out (better quality), but you can preview a smaller slideshow below if you’d like. I agree, he has taken some great shots.  I like going to whitehouse.gov just to to see what new ones they have.  There’s an intimacy about his best pictures.  Kind of odd to think that he is following the President and staff around all the time, though.

Great shots.  Can’t help but think that after a few years he is probably going to look a lot older and more care-worn so nice to document the first few months like this.
