Poor Piper Palin

After watching this I feel really sorry for Piper Palin. A lot of folks were asking why Sarah Palin, aka the World’s Greatest Mother, was dragging her two youngest daughters around with her everywhere on the campaign trail (and occasionally using them as human boo shields).  It’s pretty obvious from this quick chat with Matt Lauer that Piper would have rather been home going to school like Malia and Sasha Obama instead of being exploited like a political show pony. I’m sorry, but that’s just plain sad (and wrong). And you can tell from how Sarah’s voice trails off at the end of this clip ("Yeah, that was fun...") that she knows it, too.

I thought the exact same thing as I watched the interview. Maybe it was fun for a few minutes but as a lifestyle? No way. Really cute kid, btw. In fact the Palins are a very good looking family, which is what I think a lot of Americans (both real and fake) responded to. Btw, notice how Bristol hasn’t been shown or talked about for ages? And where’s Willow been hiding?

If there is a God, I wish he/she would just slam the door shut in Sarah Palin’s face and lock it tighter than a Brooklyn brownstone.

I thought the same thing. She wore those kids like human shields.

Bristol has been MIA, but I saw Willow on the periphery during the Greta interviews.

Willow seemed to be at a lot of the rallies with Piper but I don’t think Bristol’s been seen since the big rollout at the Repub convention.  It was bugging me the whole time the way the kids were there all the time, even running around and giving autographs!  I assumed that there was at least a tutor traveling with them so they could keep up with their schoolwork but apparently not.  Sarah is about as high on my list as a mother as she is as a politician.

I also think it’s interesting that she keeps saying she never “asked for” or “demanded” the wardrobe.  That seems to be technically correct.  From what was said she was given a credit card so she could buy 3 suits for the convention and, on her own, (i.e. without “asking") went on the big shopping spree.  She is a master of making the “true” statement without actually telling the truth.

I had forgotten about the booing at the Flyers’ game. Why in the world would a mother subject her kids to that? I know the woman is from Alaska, but didn’t anyone warn her that Philly sports fans booed Santa Claus?

Philly sports fans booed Santa Claus?

No, they didn’t, at least not at first. They pelted him with snowballs THEN they booed him. Huge difference.

No, they didn’t, at least not at first. They pelted him with snowballs THEN they booed him THEN they ran him over with the Zamboni.

Fixed.

The what seems to be a 15 and a half part interview with Greta yesterday was a train crash. A Moose burger eatin’, snow machine racin’, lets go huntin, darn tootin train crash.

She even regaled “The First Dude” again with the same HILARIOUS anecdote she hit him with the last time she was awkwardly fawning over the poor bastard. “Did you know John McCain thinks you’re INSANE?! HAhahah...haha...it was great i couldn’t believe it!...sigh”

She wore those kids like human shields.

Correct, except for the use of the past tense.

What. The. Hell.

Piper’s wearing pumps. At age 8?

No wonder her older sister got knocked up at least once.

Bu . . . but I’m confused. Cuz Riverchucky told us that Piper was having the totally normal kid-friendly life and those poor overscheduled abused Obama kids (you know, the ones who stayed home with Grandma so they could go to school and do the stuff they like—soccer, ballet classes, etc.) were victimized by their Machiavellian ambitious parents!

And when has Riverchucky ever been wrong?
