Quote of the (Yester)day

From Roy Edroso:

Legal Insurrection has a post today called “If Palin Were President Now.” I expected the next line to be, “She would quit.”

Are you certain this isn’t spoof? Seriously. I had one professor who was neo-con fuckhead, but I can’t imagine him writing an article based on the premise that 1. If McPow had won the election he’d be dead and 2. Palin’s special starburst power would have saved us all from 8 years of Bush shitting all over things.

Not only would he know better but all of his colleagues would have taken turns stuffing his head in the toilet.

I hope this guy does not have tenure yet.  He deserves to be fired and is an embarassment to Cornell.

Ditto Bruno.  I would have been an alienated moderate if it weren’t for my Cornell years. Cornell and Berkley have been desired if elusive acquisitions of the right for a number of years now.

So, here’s my question.  From the comments section at Legal Effluence, or whatever that dreadful place is called:

You make the mistake of attributing good faith to Obama. He is not trying to save the economy, he wants to destroy it so he can say free markets don’t work, we need the big government socialist model.

I can’t help but notice that this is the wingnut version of what I now see at Lambert’s House of Paranoia.  Are sites like this just two quantum mechanical variations on the same sets of beliefs?  If I’m not mistaken there’s the idea of right-spin and left-spin as a feature of atomic particles.  Is this the right-spin version of VastHedwig?

Legally Insane is becoming one of my most fave sites. I’m glad Roy is on the case.

it is hard to imagine that Palin could do any worse as President than Barack Obama is doing right now

But apparently it takes no effort—or proof—to speculate that the world would be nothing but Golden Ponies right now if Nanook of the Morans had taken the reins six months ago, and forced ExxonbMobil to support all the rest of us.

That’s the great thing about being the loser. You never have to prove you would have been better than the other guy. People will buy you beer all day just to listen to you rail about how you coulda won the state Championship, gawdammit, if the refs had called the game fairly.

I like the way Jacobson has given references in his post. All the links seem to be pointing to his own articles.
