Quote of the Day

Roy Edroso on wingnut bloggers:

They’re so humor-averse that when someone mocks them, they never, ever think about joking back—they either sputter in outrage or launch windy explanations of why it is in fact you who are ridiculous, and then retuck their shirts. It’s like they all grew up thinking Frank Burns was the hero of “M*A*S*H.”

Harsh. Brutal. Beautiful.

Yeah, that is just perfection.

Yeah, that’s a line I wish I had thought of. Then again, my whole damn family were M*A*S*H junkies.

That is excellent!

Robert Duvall’s Frank Burns is always a huge jolt after watching the TV series for a while. Not just a clown, but a incompetent, sanctimonious and dangerous man.

But yeah, a fabulous observation.

This is why I find it’s more fun these days to just feed into their paranoia.

Roy does have a way with words.

Frank Burns in faux life was ,no doubt, a repuke.

I just alluded to the ‘pros from Dover’ yesterday and nobody knew what I was talking about.

I hate getting old.
