Rep. Issa Calls Government Signage Political “Propaganda”

Personally, I always thought it was kind of unifying and uplifting.

Oh, wait. Issa only has a problem with obviously partisan signs that make America feel better in tough times…or mid-term election cycles. Or, say, signage that promotes a really swell thing that he famously voted against.

Someone should tell Issa that signmakers have jobs, too. Asshole.

Also, someone should ask him how this jives with his earlier criticism that the Stimulus Package didn’t include enough money for infrastructure projects. Now, apparently, he thinks there was too much.

The same Darrell Issa who used Tim Russert’s death to make a pitch for oil drilling?

ISSA: We are going to miss Tim Russert when it comes to the people on both sides of the issue of why we have $5 oil — $5 gasoline and $135 oil. I think Tim Russert would have been just the right guy to hold people accountable, who would talk about the 68 million acres that are, quote, inactive, while in fact 41 million are under current lease and use and are producing millions of barrels of oil and natural gas a day.

He wants to hire about 70 investigators w/subpoena power.

They’ll investigate whether President Obama completely and fully disclosed the fact that he is BLACKITY BLACK BLACK during his campaign and ferret out the REAL birth certificate!
