Mrs. Polly, I’m going with Obama as Clark Gable, the country as Claudette Colbert, and the blankets on the clothesline as the GOP—mostly because I like the idea of Christianists being hoist on their own petard as “the walls of Jericho” come tumbling down.

Someone (the author, most likely) is pimping a self-published book in that thread. From the plot excerpt provided on the site, it sounds like the teabagger Red Dawn. Better yet, the author is apparently also a pivotal character in the story—under his own name and everything. Chuck Norris should buy the rights and run with it.

Betty, the excerpt from that book is just a howl.

It’s a shame that so much of what passes for real-world political thought and high-minded strategy is nothing but people acting out the cheesy spy novels, plantation-taboo romance books and film clips of Left Behind they live inside their heads.
