RIP Farrah.  You’ll Always be my Angel.

Farrah Fawcett (and I still say Farrah Fawcett Majors in my head) has lost her long, brave battle with cancer.

She was an iconic person for a lot of us baby boomers.  Beautiful, outgoing, talented and larger than life.  We’ll miss you.

Yep, I used to have that poster up in my bedroom when I was a kid and when I was in high school there was a rumor floating around that she was house shopping in our town with Lee Majors. Oh boy, did that ever get all of the young fellers tittering.

I don’t think anyone but Princess Di ever inspired more imitative hair cuts. RIP, Ms. Fawcett.

Never got the Farrah Fawcett thing. Liked her in “Extremities,” though.

Jackie Kennedy, maybe?.

Jackie Kennedy, maybe?

Good point, but let me pull a Meghan McCain on you: But that was before I was boorrrrnnnnn!!

Down here on the Redneck Riviera, Billy Ray Cyrus’ iconic mullet still blights the landscape long after it should have gone the way of the zoot suit. And Farrah’s ‘do lives on as well.

As far as hair, Jennifer Aniston’s Friends do was a big hair-spiration.  But, I was one of those 10 year olds with feathered bangs in Farrah’s heyday.

Farrah seemed crazy as a loon, but I had a soft spot for her.  Big fan of the original Angels and we played them at recess.

Betty Cracker -

A thousand apologies. I’ll never make that mistake again. By the way, “it’s a casserole, silly” has been permanently etched in my mind, thanks to you. What, please tell me, is the hideous concoction that woman is wielding?

I’m not sure. It looks like some revolting combination of sausage and corn. Or maybe sausage and especially large-grained couscous (which wouldn’t be so bad). At any rate, it looks awful.
