In a million years I would never have expected to see Andy Griffith speak out for a Democratic presidential candidate. Maybe I don’t know his political history very well, but that was awesome. He needs to make a commercial as Matlock to appeal to the older audience while he’s at it.

I’m teaching a class on Election Day morning on Reviewing the Arts, and have decided to screen Elia Kazan’s A Face in the Crowd, starring Griffith. If you’ve never seen it, it’s brilliant!
