Saturday Morning Music: Sheryl Crow’s “We Do What We Can”

I know from past discussions that some Roasters are less than enthusiastic about Ms. Crow for a few reasons. If you haven’t heard this song before and you’re at all interested in mellow, lush jazz, framing a terrific and very poignant song, I’d give it a whirl.

As ever, think of this as an open thread if you want.

She’s grown on me, I must admit. And we former Mizzou gals have to stick together. (I don’t remember seeing her there, but we attended during the same years. Of course, I don’t remember Brad Pitt being in my journalism classes, either, though he apparently was.)

This is great too:

Why don’t people like Sheryl Crow?  I’ve had a crush on her since before Hoverounds were approved by Medicare…

Don’t like Sheryl Crow? Blasphemy!

Although, I admit, I wasn’t a big fan of All I Wanna Do when I first heard it, because they played it constantly. I think my favorite song may The Difficult Kind, & I really like her Globe Sessions live cuts. Also, too, Riverwide & Anything But Down.
