Scott Brown Casts 60th Vote to Break GOP Filibuster of Unemployment Benefits Extension

I’m liking this guy better and better.

(Yeah, Snowe and Voinovich helped out, too. But Cosmo Trucknutz’ vote is the one that really frosts the Teabaggers.)

Put your money on this guy to be the one to derail any efforts to filibuster the Supreme Court Justice selections.  As opposed to Snowe—he doesn’t have a safe seat.

Don’t give him too much credit.  He knows that he can’t go to wingnut or he won’t keep his seat.  As a state senator he was a complete empty suit and even his republican colleagues did not think much of him.  There is a flaw in the federal extended unemployment benefits that penalizes anyone who finds part time work.  When the person then goes back on unemployment their benfis are based on their lower earnings.  Despite a lot of lobbying in Massachusetts Brown has refused to sign on to fixing this work incentive.  He, like many Mass republicans, have scheduling problems tomorrow when Palin graces our state.

Don’t imagine that vote will help sell this t-shirt.

Haha, teabaggers—all yer nekkid truck-drivers are belong to us now.

I’m fairly fond of the message that sends to the teabaggers: “You can’t help me. You can’t hurt me. I can ignore you, and so can everyone else. Go back to watching ‘Two and a Half Men,’ tools.”

Yes, during the heady days of the January Uprising, teabaggers swelled with pride at their handsome new hero, a regular guy with a truck who they sent to DC to slay the Negro Muslin and display a set of giant brass TruckNutz.

And here we are a few months later, and the teatard 1.0 generation has already felt the crushing disappointment of getting behind a candidate, only to feel betrayed by the pink-leather-short-wearing, afraid-to-back-up-his-truck-with-a-trailer-attached lifestyle-by-Ralph-Lauren hand model he turned out to be.

They should be completely demoralized by 2012, just like everyone else.

It’s all working just as Soros planned.

Oh dear. How dreadful. Why, this will cause the teabaggins to insist that only the wingnuttiest of wingnuts get the nomination. Or worse, they’ll run their own third party candidates, thereby splitting the Republican vote and reducing both parties to a smoking shambles.

I feel faint!

With laughter.

(Seriously, I think the more parties the merrier in politics but the GOP can get fucked on a barbed wire fence for all I care.)

OK, I wondered who got the vote to 60.  The paper this morning just reported the totals and too busy today to dig deeper.  So now I’m wondering which F’in Dems voted for the filibuster!  (Got some ideas, to be sure.)

How did that douchebag Joe Lie vote?

He’s just voting that way because he has to “mainstream” himself.

There is a sad & bewildering rise of right-wing lunacy here in New England (alas) but we’re still mostly very sane & left-leaning.
