Sexy Gun-Totin’ Rockin’ Fun! BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!

Not up there with her banjo-on-crack classic “Where Were You Born?”, but enough awful/funny to warrant a post.  You can read the lyrics below the fold, but have someone hide your firearms before you do. Trust me.

Our Guns

We are concerned Americans
Proud members of the N.R.A.
Protecting our right to keep and bear arms
Supporters of the G.O.A.
Sisters of the 2nd Amendment
Say self-defense is a basic right
Hunters and first responders
We keep firearms at our side

Why are law-abiding citizens
Forced to keep our guns locked away?
All it does is make it harder
To keep our homes and loved ones safe
So tell us why are guns to blame again
For the violence in our lives?
It’s the criminals with their twisted minds
Another gun law won’t keep ‘em in line

Like Corpsmen love their rifles
For them it’s “Live Free or Die”
While they protect us on the front lines
We trust in God but keep our powder dry
Should the tides shift against We the People
You can bet this battle hymn will be sung:

Whoa be unto those who try
To confiscate our guns.

As written in the 2nd Amendment
For the security of a free state
A well-regulated militia
Is needed to keep our country safe
This right can’t be infringed upon
Our Founders had foreseen
When the people fear government
You know it’s called tyranny.

Progressives, they wanna change our country
Under the guise of makin’ it “fair”
We know it’s ALL about control
It’s just an act when they say they care
Now the warning shots have been fired
The battle has just begun
Through all those secret, back door deals
They are aimin’ for our guns

Like Corpsmen love their rifles
For them it’s “Live free or die”
We’re united to defend our freedom
We’ll trust in God but keep our powder dry
Should the tides shift against We the People
You can bet this battle hymn will be sung:

Whoa be unto those who try
To confiscate our guns

Just as the faithful Corpsman
Swears a solemn creed
In defense of this great Nation
Stand his rifle…and he.
We are all obliged to defend her
As our Constitution decrees
We will stand as one united against
Foreign and domestic enemies

Like Corpsmen love their rifles
For them it’s “Live free or die”
We’re united to defend our freedom
We’ll trust in God but keep our powder dry
Should the tides shift against We the People
You can bet this battle hymn will be sung:

Whoa be unto those who try
To confiscate our guns

There’ll be no mercy for the fool who tries
To confiscate my gun!
Oh, yeah…

Hmmmm. Catchy tune. I’ll be humming it all day.

Why are law-abiding citizens
Forced to keep our guns locked away?
All it does is make it harder
To keep our homes and loved ones safe

I dunno, maybe so your maladjusted teenage son doesn’t decide to conduct a schoolyard massacre because he’s tired of being teased for having month-breathing, shit-for-brains parents?

Whoa be unto those who try
To confiscate our guns.

Whoa is me.

BTW, I can’t find the link now, but she performed at CPAC.

Wow, Britney really let herself go.

My military background is Army so maybe I’m off the mark on this, but isn’t a ‘Corpsman’ a Naval medic assigned to a Marine unit?

“... sisters of the 2nd Amendment”?  That doesn’t even… no, just NO.

It’s like music threw up in my mouth a little.

Surprisingly enough, this song syncs-up perfectly with the first five minutes of Napoleon Dynamite.

There’ll be no mercy for the fool who tries
To confiscate my gun!
Oh, yeah…

Even though I’m a gun owner myself , I believe that ignorant [lady peoples] like her shouldn’t be allowed to own anything more dangerous than a plastic spork.

And I’m shocked that she didn’t work even one “Red Dawn” , or “Wolverines!” reference into that craptastic gem.

People who are that paranoid shouldn’t have guns in the first place.

Through all those secret, back door deals

No, no, no.

You can get song lyric inspiration a lot of different places.  A collection of old blues CDs.  The complete works of Jack Kerouac.  A bag of heroin.  A shelf full of Symbolist poetry.

But do not try to get song lyric inspiration from the memos of Frank Freaking Luntz.

It’s gun fetishists like that which is why gun owners like me refuse to join the NRA.

What part of “well-regulated militia” do these people not understand?

Has one single gun been confiscated from these people since Obama became president?

Many metaphysical guns were confiscated.
