Simple Answers to Simple Questions

Dave Weigel asks:

Are the PUMAs lying about their support, their numbers, or their fundraising just to get attention?

Answer: Yes.

This has been another edition of simple answers to simple questions.

[h/t Atrios for the “Simple” concept]

RELATED: Will Bower is still claiming that Hillary’s debt is “in the black.” Me thinks some PUMAs are going to be pretty upset when they find out at the end of August that Bower and the other self-appointed PUMA leaders (selected not elected) have been willfully deceiving them.

MORE: I’ll have probably my most innocuous PUMA post rolling in soon. Check back for 100% more dumbass.

Batshit Crazy Riverdaughter

IT JUST NEVER STOPS WITH THESE SILLY, SILLY PUMAS: TS at Instaputz discovered that the hotel Bower, whose pants must be ash by now, is billing as a five-star hotel at the PUMA Conference site is actually only a three-star one. And the Mary Kay promotion page featuring our ol’ pal Cynthia Ruccia has to be read to be believed (“all PUMAs wash their faces, yes?!”). I am PUMA!  Hear me exfoliate!

Interesting….Hills loaned her campaign another $1 million to help pay off smaller vendors:

I find it really interesting that you quote an article that comes to no conclusions what-so-ever to prove your point.

The numbers being reported in the media are for the end of JUNE.  The PUMA fundraiser was in JULY.

Is that so difficult to understand?

Also, your conclusion that we PUMA’s are crazy or lying is based on incomplete facts, innuendo, and faulty assumption.

If you are going to criticize us, at least do it with facts…  I know facts are something you would rather not deal with, cause that would lead you to the conclusion that your position is the wrong one.

Yeah, your conclusion that Obama won the nomination because Hillary ran a poor campaign is just flat-out wrong. I mean, he did win, but really, according to the bastion of reality and fact-based decision-making that are the world’s stupidest people (PUMAs) he didn’t win that’s why these Republicans are keeping up the fight.

So make sure you get your facts from where they are produced from now on, RNC talking points and Bill O’Reilly shows.

I find it really interesting that you quote an article that comes to no conclusions what-so-ever to prove your point.

Well, since the numbers Will Bower originally promised Hillary’s camp would release on 7/20 will now not be released until 8/20 (great “sources,” Will), I guess I’ll have to continue calling bullshit on Bower, Murphy, Riverdaughter and everyone else who keeps floating this $10 million figure just by working with the facts as I know them.

Here’s a simple way to look at it. RD claims her site raised $10,000 for Hillary.  I have no way of knowing if she fudged those numbers or not (or where she got them), but there’s no doubting she has one of the most heavily-trafficked blogs/sites in the PUMA coalition and she was promoting the fundraiser more heavily than most PUMA sites.  If you do the math, you’ll see it’s next to impossible to imagine Just Say No Deal, considering the “coalition” is comprised of mostly low traffic blogs, came within miles (and miles and miles) of $10 million. Stop drinking the Clinton-Aid!

Also, your conclusion that we PUMA’s are crazy or lying is based on incomplete facts, innuendo, and faulty assumption.

We were promised “thousands” of protesters were going to descend on Rockefeller Center for the media/MSNBC protest and all we got was this (there were far more people at my last surprise b-day party).  Cristi Adkins told Neil Cavuto 10,000 protesters were going to be marching in DC for the RBC meeting and the highest estimate I saw was 500 (which I think was overly generous based on the multitude of pics I saw). You guys run around the internet claiming you’re 18 million strong and, I mean, c’mon. Bower and others put the number at a less ridiculous but still preposterous 2.5 million, but have never offered up anything factual regarding how they came up with that calculation. The over-exaggerations are just endless with you folks.

THC, you do know that your fondness for promiscuous capitalization makes seem insane, right? Unless, of course, JUNE and JULY are acronyms. In which case I apologize in advance.

When you start to crunch some numbers it’s where PUMA really start to fall apart pretty quickly.

If we generously give PUMA 3 million disgruntled passionate, determined nutbags as it’s membership, all it would take is each one of those nutbags giving $5 to $10 each and Hillary’s debt would have evaporated overnight. Yet she is still out on the trail asking her donors to come out and Barack Obama is still doing the same to end her financial problems.

So either the PUMA’s are tight arses who won’t put their money where their mouth is (Not even $10).
There really AREN’T that many of them…in fact i’d suggest not even 10 thousand strong.
Or they’re lying sacks of crap made larger by the embrace of Faux news (who will give airtime to a surfing squirrel if it keeps people watching) frantically trying to hold onto some semblance of validity that really didn’t exist in the first place.

I suggest YES, to all three.

Bower and the other self-appointed PUMA leaders (selected not elected) have been willfully deceiving them.

HAH! YES!!

We were promised “thousands” of protesters were going to descend on Rockefeller Center for the media/MSNBC protest and all we got was this (there were far more people at my last surprise b-day party).

I can vouch for this.  I was at that party and not only were there more people there, there was also a couple rock bands, tons of booze and a lady with enormous boobs who made a martini with her lady parts.  Her name was Bob. True story. Unlike their being millions of Pumas.

Yeah, iceberg, all true, but regrettably we didn’t have a miniature Valerie Bertinelli at the party. That was the extra flourish it was lacking.

There are less than 1,000 PUMAs and the only reason they keep showing their asses is because you pay attention to them.  When my son was a tot, he occasionally acted like a brat to get attention.  We just ignored him until he behaved.  It worked like a charm.

PUMAs demonstrate a very immature mentality, so unless you really are getting a big ol’ boot out of their stupidity, just treat them like the ill-behaved little monsters they are and ignore them.  They’ll straighten up by and by if nobody pays attention to their tantrums..

Every time you link to one of those blogs, I end up feeling sorry for the PUMAs. They’re so bonkers with hatred, I can’t imagine how they get anything done. Imagine wanting to rip a campaign sign up with your teeth! And not because the candidate represented policies you couldn’t stand, or was a warmongering liar, or opposed equal pay for women, or hated gays. But because he beat your candidate and you didn’t like the rules the candidates agreed to.
It’s sad. Really, really sad.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned during the primary season, it’s that there’s a fine line between sad and hilarious.

Ignore the Pumas?  And deny ourselves the pleasure of ridiculing their stupidity?  Never.

What irritates me is they keep acting like we Democrats should be begging for their votes.  They have lists, they make demands.

Why should we beg for their votes?  I figure my job to help us win in November is to make sure that the people who want Barack Obama to be the next POTUS get out and vote in November.  If someone tells me they are voting for McCain I won’t remind them to vote come election day.  And I certainly don’t waste any time asking them why they are voting for McCain…I just assume it’s because they are Republicans (read Idiots).

numbers are in from open secrets.  will bower left the link in the comments on my blog.

paid off and $1million ahead now.

Thanks,

Texas Hill Country.

Oh, and Glix, actually a campaign IS essentially begging people to vote for your candidate.

and when millions of people that were in your corner, but are not in your corner anymore…  The DNC should be saying “WTF did I screw up”, and not calling millions of “former” Dems “dumbass covert republican racists!!!”

It’s not very smart, cause like it or not, Obama or any Democrat needs our votes.

have a great day.
