SOTU Speech Sends Patsy to Dreamland

President Obama got pretty high marks on his SOTU speech from what I’ve read. My dog thought it was a snooze-fest, however:

Or maybe she was dreaming about cavorting on the White House lawn with Bo. (Yes, it IS creepy how her eyes are half open when she sleeps. What is she, Gandalf?)

I love it!  One of my cats,Stella, sleeps on the pillow with my head at night.  We progress through:  Loud purring; faint purring; “mmmmmm”; deep sigh; silence; *SNORE*.  If I dare turn over, the process starts all over again.

Oh, my. I’ve always liked brindle doggies, and this one comes with a soundtrack! Betty, do you sometimes wake up wondering where the earth moving equipment is?

I’ll see your adorable dogs and cats and raise you a dormouse.  If you listen very, very closely, he’s saying “Google *snooooort* Ron *wheek* Paul!”

Oh, wait. That’s not a dormouse. My bad.

The eye thing would be much more eerie if she didn’t sound like Ralph Kramden on Nyquil.

I would ask you if there are doggie CPap machines, but I’m afraid to Google and find out there are.

Cueball (the great white whale) snores almost as badly as my DH does, this can result in some funny moments in the morning when I wake and hear the snoring, thinking that DH has slept in and try to figure out why he is not in bed beside me.  Boxers are the bestest dogs in the world, but it has to be admitted that their snoring, their nubbly bumpyness, and their farting makes me wonder why I think that sometimes :)
