Stay classy, Rudy

What a dick:

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani was a last-minute no-show at the wedding of his former roommates—a gay couple—yesterday.

It was a disappointment for Queens car dealer Howard Koeppel and his longtime lover, Mark Hsiao, who tied the knot in a double-ring ceremony before 10 guests in Westport, Conn.

The couple famously let the ex-mayor crash at their luxury $2.37 million three-bedroom Manhattan apartment while he was going through a nasty divorce with Donna Hanover in 2001. Later, Giuliani married the “other woman,” Judith Nathan.

“Rudy and Judith were both invited with a beautiful written invitation by mail,” said Koeppel. “His secretary called Thursday and said he was not able to come to the wedding and wished us all the best.”

He didn’t even have the balls to call his friends personally to decline. No problem. I’m sure Giuliani’s new wingnut fundamentalist BFFs will put him up in grand style when the third Mrs. Giuliani throws his ass out. Not.

Great post, Betty, and we should not forget:

DOG-KILLING third Mrs. Giuliani.

The tender wench used her nurse’s degree to become a demonstratrix of stapling devices.

Guiliani (or G911iani) also mimed Bill Clinton dry-humping right in front of Hillary Clinton at the NY correspondents’ dinner.

He should have saved it for the corespondents’ dinner which he attended later that night.

I’ll bet he sent a great gay wedding congratulations card though.

Sorry, boys, but my new friends and I are too busy this weekend trying to make sure you’ll never get the right to marry, while defending my right to get married as many times as I want.

Regards, &c;

Sorry, if Rudy Ghouliani is your BFF, it speaks volumes about you, and I have zero sympathy when he screws you over. When you lie down with pigs, etc.

Judas Perckerwood has a point. Still, I’d like to think Giuliani didn’t attend because the couple didn’t want him appearing, yet again, in drag.

@Brad: LMAO. Good point.

Seriously, is anyone surprised by this? Rudy has ALWAYS been about what’s best for Rudy/political expediency. He’s already thrown two wives, his kids, and God knows what else under the political bus. What’s two more gay friends? I just hope the turd doesn’t become the next governor of NY.

Except for the libel against pigs, I agree. Unless they had one those dunk tanks and planned to put Rudy in there, why would they want that opportunistic sociopathic douche hose at their wedding?

I expect nothing less from a guy marries/beds his cousin and then has the goddamn audacity to have a problem with homo nuptials.

Rot in hell, Skeletor.

It’s not a shock to think he’d abandon his friends to grandstand before religious fundamentalists, seeing as how a religious fundamentalist saved his career. Granted, that particular one wasn’t a Christian, or even an American,...

Betty, I’ll see your dick, and raise you a scumball.

From this month’s Christianity Today interview with Joe the (Not Really a) Plumber:

In the last month, same-sex marriage has become legal in Iowa and Vermont. What do you think about same-sex marriage at a state level?

At a state level, it’s up to them. I don’t want it to be a federal thing. I personally still think it’s wrong. People don’t understand the dictionary—it’s called queer. Queer means strange and unusual. It’s not like a slur, like you would call a white person a honky or something like that. You know, God is pretty explicit in what we’re supposed to do—what man and woman are for. Now, at the same time, we’re supposed to love everybody and accept people, and preach against the sins. I’ve had some friends that are actually homosexual. And, I mean, they know where I stand, and they know that I wouldn’t have them anywhere near my children. But at the same time, they’re people, and they’re going to do their thing.

I think Mr. Plumber has a unique definition of the word “friends.”

Does Sam/Joe the Sham/Plumber have any children?  That he knows about?  And Mrs. Plumber?  Who is this model of wifely virtue?
