Sweet Home Alabama

Well, one good thing came out of the defeat of Touchdown Jeebus and the Mighty Gators by Alabama: It prompted noted piggy-eyed MSNBC asshole Joe Scarborough to finally drop all pretenses of being a Floridian.

We have enough embarrassing wingnuts here, including Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh and Matt Drudge. May the Tide wash all vestiges of Morning Joe across the Gulf of Mexico, up the Black Warrior River and north to Tuscaloosa!

Tiger is climbing up that list pretty quickly.

He can come right up to Ohio. We have Perpetually Tanned John Boehner, Professional Harpy Jean Schmit and countless other wingnuts in our state. We grow ‘em extra nutty around here,

We once had property on the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa County. My mother and father made my brother and I dive to the bottom and pull up rocks that were used to side an addition to the house. Growing up in the shadow of THE BEAR and Alabama football I was an Auburn fan just to piss off my family.

We grow ‘em extra nutty around here,

Ohio is, after all, the buckeye state!

Jamie, I begin to think we truly are related. I have cousins by the dozens in Alabama, though mostly around Mobile.

Maybe so, my family crest would include Earls of Calhoun, Talladega, Walker and Tuscaloosa counties with a Duchy of Troop County Tennessee thrown in to improve the family stock. I scaled the fence directly after high school for the International Free Zone of Atlanta, did a stint in California where I lost my shirt in a dot com bullshit mess. Back to Atlanta and now in Blue Ridge, Georgia where my partner Doug and I have a second, (now only) home, (Thanks California). This is southern Appalachia and it’s completely true what they say about Appalachia. Your in Florida now I assume? My nephew is going to USA next year on a golf scholarship. We’re high achievers, can’t you tell. He seems to be the only one right now that is not afflicted by a stigmata but I’m not counting him out just yet. Cheers, Jamie
